Erebus disaster - November zulu niner zero one November zulu niner zero one This is Vanda Station. We have clear weather with no cloud and little wind. If you want to fly over the dry valleys we will flash you with our signal mirrors so you can pinpoint the station. Vanda Station, this is NZ niner zero one Roger, we are now just north of Cape Hallett and will call you again for directions. November Zulu Niner zero one Vanda Station. Roger It’s a right hand turn just after Beaufort Island. For the next few hours There was no word worst feared not heard The radio crackled through the night In the un natural sound of SSB All crew up drinking coffee and tea with the midnight sun Glued to the HF single sideband November zulu niner zero one November zulu niner zero one This is mac centre mac centre howcopy November zulu niner zero one This is vanda station vanda station five four zero zero Relay relay mac centre mac centre Please contact mac centre eight niner niner sefen Contact mac centre eight niner niner sefen Relay relay mac centre Contact mac centre eight niner niner sefen howcopy All through the night Over and over Hour after hour The same message Until that fateful call Feared by all Mac centre mac centre This is navy three two one wreckage sighting wreckage sighting howcopy mac centre navy three one niner Longitude One six sefen Two sefen echo Latitude Sefen six Two six sierra howcopy Mac centre mac centre This is Navy three two one Correction Correction I say again latitude I say again Latitude Sefen sefen Two six sierra howcopy Mac centre Navy three two one Ahh ahh mac centre There appear to be no survivors Howcopy So it was then, That the on board data longitude error some would blame for the crash Is something that happens often but is accommodated by good airmanship by not relying on one thing alone. was repeated in similar fate by a latitude error in the crash site location message from the search aircraft XD01-48321 that found a terrible sight that the sun stayed up on late on a truly awful night when 257 souls met their fate. ©GARY LEWIS.2009

i. Mine Waling-Waling If mine existence soon doth leaveth; Mine psalm's art left here on Hello Poetry In thine Palm's they shalt speaketh. ii. If this shalt be the ****** Mine rhyme's in thee; Shalt be entwined Into thy mind, I will meeteth thee in heaven's gate nine, the back. iii. If soon shalt be mine termination I'll meeteth thee at the station; Wherein cerulean airmist Shalt maketh me drift, onward ahead. iv. Amongst the living Not dead; I shalt findeth thou If today's mine last breathe somehow, I'll be waiting in a shroud. v. If mine Incarnadine Shalt be spilt as wine; And I hemorrhage from mine brain Just remember queen, eternally, we shalt meet and be one again. ©Brandon nagley ©Lonesome poet's poetry ©Earl Jane nagley/Filipino rose dedication

Waling-Waling (Vanda sanderiana)
vanda miss joaquim lying bruised and battered on the shore what is your story the gift of a lover given with a smile with tender words whispered from a heart filled with hope and a body aching with desire or perhaps you carry in your memories memories of one who has journeyed beyond this life ashes of their earthly body scattered at sea you in their wake or perhaps perhaps you were carried to the shore on the wings of the wind plucked from your stem floating to where silver foam kisses golden sand dancing this way and that in the embrace of the ocean where finally in the face of unrequited love you relinquish your flawless beauty to its graceful omnipotence

0 ~ ~~~ ~~~~~ You're inside...alone in your hiding place yet, the limited sphere of your space grumbles with voices...repeating words and scenes...from failed, denied expectations be still now.....remember not to ponder long on hurtful moments cry, if you must, but, when sun sets and moon is up let twilight's soothing silence ease your overworked heart and mind dwell not on sad departures...take a deep sigh, there's hope......look up to the sky be still.............surrender to a silent Presence...that makes the wind move creation listen to the music of nature its peaceful murmurs hear the wind hum its many songs hissing..swishing, whistling listen to the trees, hear the leaves softly rustle, the water....running....flowing from a waterfall.......down to the river take time...hear a hawk or an eagle cry see them soar and descend with grace, while a wine-red dragonfly, and a purple-yellow butterfly....flutter atop pink Vanda blooms... search with your eyes, ears, mind, and heart be captivated! explore! nature, always leaves us in awe... be still, let sand escape from your palms release cold, indifferent hands let go of anyone all set to leave...or anything that always seems awry... open your doors, let fresh air bring in new chances...new challenges, and new beginnings...let them all in! remember to build new dreams welcome new friends, new faces remember to smile! soon...the hurting will wane remember the cycle: sunrise, sunset...live, die...weep, laugh remember the Words: "there is a right time for everything." ~~~~~ ...have faith....be still... ~~~~~ ~~~ ~ Sally © Rosalia Rosario A.
