"ubuhle" poems
She smiles with wounds hidden Beaten by sticks Thrown by stones And yet she still remains the Queen on the Throne. She is sometimes treated as passing paper blown by winds that illuminate stains on streets As his feet seek to ***** her cleansed soul within... The baggage she carries. The shades of burden she walks with. The sorrow that she has married. As she feel like dust as it has no value when it's wiped of valuable goods.. He enters her purse as she is not obliged to be taken advantage of By him who played the characteristics of a two-faced lover... All thanks to lust. The beauty of a woman not appreciated. All her struggles fail to define her, but are then told because they are the reason of UBUHLE BENTOMBI!!

Ubuhle bentombi (beauty of a woman)
TO AFRIKA, THE POWERFUL GIANT WHO IS BOUND, TEARS AT HER OWN FLESH AND CAN NOT SEE HER OWN BEAUTY How long shall we grind our teeth? As old man's bones crack to the beat Of their picks digging white man gold in black man land Afrika mama, you soul is sold Vuka Afrika Mama Ikati lilele eziko As vultures tap dance on your corrugated iron roof Hyenas point and cackle baring sharpened tooth All the while you slumbered They shackled you and tore your treasure asunder Now is the time to break free Clear those scales from your eyes so you can see How long shall we cry these crocodile tears? As the swollen belly babies, eyes filled with fear Watch the queen who bore them, cowered in the corner, face to the ground Battered by the head of the household, asserting his authority No mercy to be found Zijonge Afrika mama Ubone ubuhle bakho They lied and said your ebony skin wasn't beautiful At all cost remain dutiful Head bowed, queen uncrowned All the while  you doubt yourself There are those who eye and pillage your riches May our united voice bring you to your senses Lest you find yourself stripped naked, while balancing on fences

Ndithetha Ngaye
Ubuhle bakho took my breath away Your smile hypnotized me Amehlo wakho rocked my world Your sweet voice made the earth move It was on that day Ngala suku when I first laid eyes on you Such beauty Such charm Such exquisiteness Skin so fair it glittered I swear on that day Ngala suku as your feet touched the ground I heard the angels cry I was marveled by such style Such class, such excellence My heart leapt in excitement As I adored your elegance Your lips had me enchanted So soft, so sublime... I couldn't believe my eyes It felt like a dream only it was in bright daylight I swear on that day Ngala suku I saw the sun smile at your angelic face A body so divine, well-refined Ravishing, breath-taking, just splendid I saw the clouds follow you as you paced in a rhythm The day brightened as your I felt your presence I swear on that day Ngala suku even the trees and the birds were astonished by your striking image Your brown eyes mesmerized me Your aura, your aroma, your walk... Captivated me I swear on that day Ngala suku I saw God's most artistic design A splitting image of supremacy I've never seen such perfection Except for on that day Ngala suku when I first saw you
