I miss your cologne and camel cigarette smell.
I miss your chest and the way it felt against my head.
I miss our late night talks in my car, smoking cigarettes even if it was raining.
I miss the things you would say about life and love.
I miss how much of a hopeless romantic you were.
I miss our late night skypes and deep facebook messages.
I miss how well you got along with my parents.
I miss how cute you were when you closed your eyes.
I miss watching B-rated horror films with you for hours on end.
I just miss you.

but

I don't miss how you treated me.
I don't miss how you only admitted you liked me when you had a couple beers in you.
I don't miss how you brought another girl home while you were fooling around with me.
I don't miss how you stated "just friends" before we did anything.
I don't miss that you would constantly send me mixed signals.
I don't miss feeling like **** every time you left.
I don't miss that endless sense of waiting for you to respond to my messages.
I don't miss you constantly talking about your ex.
I don't miss your insecurities.
I don't miss your lies.
I don't miss your alcoholic parents or your awkward sister.
I don't miss your anger problems.
I don't miss your broken soul that I tried so hard to piece together.
I don't miss your torn heart, the one I tried so hard to mend.

I'm really trying not to miss you.

I really am.

Here I am again looking to the sky
Wishing so much that I could fly
Leave this lonesome world behind
Most people are just blind
And they will never see the truth
But up high here upon the roof

It's not so hard to find
That they are to mired in the grind
They've given in
To the greatest sin
That possessions have more worth than time
They cherish every dime

But I know the truth
It's about love, not youth
Or possession you own
It's about watching kid's becoming grown

It's not how much money
You spend on your hunny
But putting in the time
To watch life unwind

Holding loved ones close
It's what we all want the most
So I have decided I'm growing wings
Just watch as I fly away and sing
Because my love lives faraway
And Skypes not enough today

Life was simple back then
When you helped your neighbors and loved your friends..
Not a chance to feel so down, lonely and blue..
For people around you would always love you….

Life was simple back then..
There weren’t any I pad or I phone
Still conversations ran good and smooth
Arguments were handled and solved
Successful negotiations were realized..
Neither via SKYPES nor CALLS ,
face to face , human to human, gentleman to gentleman….

Life was simple back then…
No envy, no hatred no jealousy
Mutual respect, co workers were family
When you were out of work, everybody missed everybody entirely….
Workplaces are second homes, wasn’t that lovely?

Life was simple back then..
Kids walked miles to school without worry
Rivers were swimming pool, the fields were free
Not a single parent was too busy…
Childhood was so carefree, healthy and happy…

Life was simple back then…
Its how life should also be in the present…
What about our future generation?
Have you ever thought about them?
Sadly... Instead we did nothing but sheer ignorance?

In world of poetry inspiration flows everywhere.

On butterfly wings, and birds that sing.
Of gentle breeze, and a tickle tease.
Between zebras stripes, and inside Skypes.

On a drifting cloud, and person so proud.
In a heart that sings, and engagement ring.
Between the quiet breath, and in dream at rest.

On a plane that flies, and deep ones eyes.
In a dream that plays, and a foggy haze.
Between lines of verse and a persons hearse.

On a nice red cloak, and a silly joke.
In ballet dance, and true romance.
Between a sparkling star, and a door ajar.

On a summers night, and the stars so bright.
In a smile with love, and a flying dove.
Between line of text and some heavy ***.

In world of poetry inspiration flows everywhere
so do take care and now see clear, a poem is near.
I thought about inspiration
