The record skips at the same point each time,
Broken, it spins and no noi-
Noise, static from the speaker that is my heart,
My life seems to be in sha-
Shambles, when it plays, the sound, melodic,
Each note speaks to my very so-
Soul, announcing itself to the world for all to hear,
And yet my life seems incom-
Incomplete, without that sound of the treble,
The sound alongside the und-
Underlying bass, that is defined by emotion,
The mids make up the wo-
Words that harmonize the two together,
But while this record sk-
Skips, they will never play in sync,
The sound of the nee-
Needle jumping reminds me of the present,
