Ignorance is bliss;
Sweeter than any kiss.
It’s an unfair kind of careless care.
This idea of something you missed,
Where?
A tear which never needed to be known,
There. In the mirror. Wipe away the smudges and it becomes visible,
Clearer. Shown in a smile that some would call naive. But you don’t because Ignorance is richer.
Your ears burn bright but you believe all is well, that all is right, so you continue your life like a phone in a theatre. Beating on the drum of negligence, perfectly pitching yourself as a heedless, harmonious heap; inauspiciously and ironically thinking ones self, misguidedly, meticulous. Inadvertently beautiful.
Ignorance is bliss.

They danced the bow,
an ole' burning skiff;
never taking his hands from her helm.
Did he even blink?
Blinded by the heat of her omnipotence.
He tried to discern her face proximately;
the impermeable remnants of
the flame impaired his vision .
Frère Charles couldn’t distill an elixir strong enough
to manipulate his compass’s rationale.
The ripest grapes, the deepest roots,
her herbaceous lips; his soulless old boots
laced with diffidence.
A despondent moon, a tear,
the asymmetry in her shadow.
She, whom he blindly confided in,
is painting a landscape of a fairytale.
The lily’s blossom eternally,
the dirt taste like chocolate,
her oceans motions
propagate love.
When?
He’ll never know.
His imagination undulates in wildflowers,
while she swims inauspiciously
in stormy seas.
Inevitably, a slave to the wave,
he thank her forest for the oak he step.
The old oak is opinionated,
and charred.
Heedless it seem,
full mast against the wind;
somewhere their currents will convene.
A confluence relentless and unyielding;
even Moses ponder.

I see them walking
Holloweyed
Through the open ended questions
Of answers long denied

Pliant yet defiant
Inauspiciously claiming failures
As a placation to the future
Where we're all being lured

By obligation of invitation
Requiring servile adherance
To regimented augmentation
As we ponder our slow advance

Beyond perspicacious reasoning
Of all tried and untrue routes
Where war and pain Trump vision
When humanity is slain by vanity...
......as the future is subjected to the uncertainty ...
.......of all our failsafe doubts !!!
So......
I see us all falling
Blindly
Through the open ended questions
Of answers ....still  being pushed aside
AND  TOO LONG  DENIED !!!!!!!!!
She had gone on hiatus from her terminal felicity,
The languid lassitude having progressed from ennui to irritant
(As one second-tier deity in the pantheon bitterly noted
Immortality is just another word for ******* monotonous)
Coming to this plane sans the flourish and fol-de-rol
Normally accompanying earthly descents,
Having arrayed herself in such raiments
As seemed apropos in such a place,
Tresses tucked away under a stained Farmall cap,
Figure somewhat obscured by a hoodie and camo pants
(Yet drawing more than her share of too-long glances,
Their progenitors sensing something
They hadn’t apprehended before,
The provenance of what stood before them
But dimly understood yet clearly a thing apart)
And she spent an indeterminate time in that scruffy burg,
One-block main drag footed by the schoolmarm-staid courthouse,
The gas wells and second-tier chain-store concerns,
Chance encounters with doe and bobcat on the few side streets,
Hence returning to her eternal domicile
As inauspiciously as she had came,
And if one of her compatriots deigned to show interest
In respect to her time among her lessers
(The inhabitants of the terra firma
Generally regarded with a dollop of noblesse oblige
And a considerable helping of scornful disinterest)
She would become somewhat taciturn, hesitant
Characteristics almost unknown in this stratum
And she would speak, almost in wonder,
Of how those she had sauntered among,
Saddled with their inherent imperfection,
The constraints yoked upon who they were
And the realm they inhabited
(Even the landscape, glaciers gifting them
A higgledy-piggledy of lakes, dumpling-esque hills
Over-dramatically christened the Endless Mountains
Short on true grandeur or majesty)
Yet still cognizant, still struggling to attain
An ideal of beauty which they could never be privy to,
And for some time afterward it was not uncommon
To see upon her unspeakably striking visage
A faraway look bordering on discontent.
