I watched them dimiss her on the nightly news
Their crocodile tears for a football coach
outshone the death of a woman who sang the blues
I fell for her when I was quite young
a voice that made me listen to
the words that flowed off of her golden tongue
A female figure on a dim lit stage
and she lived it even into her old age
She'd taken her last breath
And the world almost forgot
But we'll remember you in death,
your name written in St. Peter's tome
Rest in peace Etta
A chorus of angels has taken you home.

I'm not like you
I think outside the box
Just a little different
I'm not lost

Outsider,--
Looking in, has its cost
Has its benefits
In my opinion
I would have my store open on Sunday
I'm sorry I just like to profit

Don't look down on me
You're not any better using Downy
I think Tide does a hell of a job
We'll all soon get swept by the ocean currents prob--
--ably

So don't dimiss your ideas because they're different
But embrace it because it's brilliant
And magnificent
All those haters are insignificant

Don't let them steal your shine
Rise above and realize

How much better you are without them ..

years ago,
if a child would tell you,
'a board game could be ivented
where you could control the moves of
kings and queens
and knights,'
and so on.
you'd call it silly for sure
dimiss it,
and care not to hear more

today
because the game can be bought in stores
and is declared by big men
and full women,
to be an ingenious game,
played by wise men,
it won't be considered a waste of your time,
it would be shamelessly 'fun'
for an adult to play it
now that others play it
too.

genuinely worth your time
it would be.

something serious to get in to.
not just a 'has been'
child's idea,
acknowledgement for you.

An animal caught in a trap,
Caged for self interest.
Having extinguished the fire,
But can you break the spirit?

True nature of a beast,
A single moment and you'll be a feast.
Affection and loyalty,
Should've been the priorities.

The prey is the predator,
The hunter being hunted,
The captor become captive,
This game changes every second.

Loyalty to the friend,
Dimiss for the foe.
Strength in isolation,
And The revenge is savage.

Hey you, Mr. Business
Like to point out and dimiss miss
Ha ha, can’t laugh yet
But you’re a fool and a ***
Walk around like supremes, you’re nothing but sheepskin
You may disagree, but you rejoice in your greendom
Mr. Business so mean, come on Mr. clean
Never know that it’s true, all was written just for you
Lucky fool that you are, you’re welcome for your star
Is that mean, now I chuckle
To you I bite my thumb sir.

Breathing under the water,
Lost in the sea.
One step away from drowning,
But the fire keeps burning.

Losing my mind,
Losing the sanity.
Grasping the straws,
Before I loose reality.

One breath,
One blink,
One smile,
And sink.

No ropes to tie,
No anchor to pull ashore.
No hands out to reach,
No faith left anymore.

The beat of the heart,
Slowing to dull rhythm.
The Love I had for water,
The reason of my Dimiss.

they tell me i am stubborn,
because i let my hands burn.
but no need to show concern.

it's not for a personal gain,
but in fact to numb all the pain.
and let negative thoughts abstain.

they don't know the alternative,
that i should choose not to live,
or find a way to forgive.

but those thoughts still find me at night.
i try to put up a good fight,
while the darkness consumes the light

then i remember for every nightfall,
there is a sun-rise awaiting the call,
to remind me of reasons to stand tall.

life is already too short for this,
and there is too many people i'd miss,
so one more day, these thoughts i can dimiss
