I am to see to it that I never find you,
dear my stranger.
Because if what Steven Chbosky said was
indeed true,
"We accept the love we think we deserve."
Then, I sure do not believe I deserve you.
Just playing around with Walt Whitman's "To a stranger" and being inspired by the quote from "The perks of being a wallflower".

I think those who are in love on this era is cursed,
not that their love is delusional nor artificial
But because their manisfestation of love is perceived
by how society visualizes and defines it

We think someone genuinely love us because
they upload hundreds of photos of us
We think someone sincerely love us because
they write essay competition-worthy captions
We think someone truly love us because
they praise us at all of our selfie posts

To me, love is listening to a music
and suddenly it reminds you of them
To me, love is reading a good book
and suddenly wants them to read it as well
To me, love is when winter comes and all you ever think is whether they wear their warm clothes
To me, love is when the night comes and all you think of is how his day was

Well, then again, Chbosky once said that
"we accept the love we think we deserve"
And maybe we don't get to choose the way we love
or the way we want to be loved
Simply because we think it's the kind of love
that deserves us
"you make it far too easy to believe,
that true romance can be achieved these days" // Alex Turner

there was a girl
who loved me so
named me bestie
gifted me with seashells
and sometimes,
baked brownie
to unfrown me

there was a girl
who taught me braids
loved poking my cheeks
and took photos of me
secretly

there was a girl
who got her heart
into pieces by bestie
and all she did is
to give her love
but only to get
none in return

she was a bird flying above
the sky all alone for no one
loved her anymore

she flew so far away
that i never saw her
ever again

she was gone;
no more brownie
no more grins
and the seashells
turned navy
oddly

twenty-nine-june,
i sat in the coffee shop
with my warm white coffee
and a copy of
stephen chbosky

she flew back home and
she descried me there
came up to me with
a beauteous grin
i last seen in
december '11

we talked
we laughed
we cried
we story-telled

(i remember, she once said,
back when i still
have the name bestie,
that she loved when
we used the term story-tell
for it made the sun and moon
collide together)

i was told that
this lovely girl's wrist
was named demon
and she **** it every time
he tries to drown her
in a sea of darkness

this time,
i got my heart into pieces
told her the same
and pinky promise was made

(like they always said,
promises are meant to be
b/r/o/k/e/n
and it did)

there is a girl
who i love so
named her bestie
and i will hold her
when she is

I admire those girls who have their guys "whipped."
Those girls who expect nothing less than the best, and always get it what they want.
Personally, I feel like guys only like me because I'm easy to please.
I don't require fancy dates, expensive things, I don't make guys pay for my food, I offer to drive.
I'm easy.
It's not like I don't want a nice date, flowers, and something a little more romantic than the back of your mom's car.
I accept what I get, and don't ask for more, because I don't think I deserve it.

Quoted from one of my favorite movies  Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower  “We accept the love we think we deserve.”
