And it's difficult to remember something as the very name of Eisenhower
Or flowerbaskets
And tired movies made of silicone and

Or sixteen candles echoing out of an imaginary suite with cigarettes at every table
And green lawns

And the antics of a monk

To the alcazar
I'm afar, behind
The bricks
Where amor
Goes far. No
Mortal bars
To hold my
Features.
Early  know-
How, of cerulean
Teacher's.
An alcazar is a Spanish fortress or palace I found out amazing word
Soit lointaine, soit voisine,
Espagnole ou sarrazine,
Il n'est pas une cité
Qui dispute sans folie
A Grenade la jolie
La pomme de la beauté,
Et qui, gracieuse, étale
Plus de pompe orientale
Sous un ciel plus enchanté.

Cadix a les palmiers ; Murcie a les oranges ;
Jaën, son palais goth aux tourelles étranges ;
Agreda, son couvent bâti par saint-Edmond ;

Lève un phare sur la mer ;
Aux rois d'Aragon fidèle,
Dans leurs vieux tombeaux, Tudèle
Garde leur sceptre de fer ;

Se joue au fond du golfe où dort Fontarabie ;
Alicante aux clochers mêle les minarets ;
A sa mosquée où l'œil se perd dans les merveilles ;
Madrid a le Manzanarès.

Bilbao, des flots couverte,
Jette une pelouse verte
Sur ses murs noirs et caducs ;
Médina la chevalière,
Cachant sa pauvreté fière
Sous le manteau de ses ducs,
N'a rien que ses sycomores,
Car ses beaux pont sont aux maures,
Aux romains ses aqueducs.

Valence a les clochers de ses trois cents églises ;
Les drapeaux turcs pendus en foule à ses piliers ;

Tortose est chère à saint-Pierre ;
Le marbre est comme la pierre
Dans la riche puycerda ;
De sa bastille octogone
Tuy se vante, et Tarragone
De ses murs qu'un roi fonda ;
Le Douro coule à Zamore ;
Tolède a l'alcazar maure,
Séville a la giralda.

Burgos de son chapitre étale la richesse ;
Peñaflor est marquise, et Girone est duchesse ;
Bivar est une nonne aux sévères atours ;

Ou hérissent la sierra ;
Toutes ont des citadelles
Dont sous des mains infidèles
Aucun beffroi ne vibra ;
Toutes sur leurs cathédrales
Ont des clochers en spirales ;

Le beau fruit de ses vallons ;
Grenade, la bien nommée,
Lorsque la guerre enflammée
Déroule ses pavillons,
Cent fois plus terrible éclate
Que la grenade écarlate
Sur le front des bataillons.

Il n'est rien de plus beau ni de plus grand au monde ;
Soit qu'à Vivataubin Vivaconlud réponde,
Avec son clair tambour de clochettes orné ;

Dont le vent chasse l'essaim ;
Alcacava pour les fêtes
A des cloches toujours prêtes
A bourdonner dans son sein,
Qui dans leurs tours africaines
Vont éveiller les dulcaynes
Du sonore Albaycin.

Grenade efface en tout ses rivales ; Grenade
Chante plus mollement la molle sérénade ;
Elle peint ses maisons de plus riches couleurs ;

Aventuriers hasardeux,
Joueraient l'Asie et l'Afrique,
Mais Grenade est catholique,
Grenade se raille d'eux ;
Grenade, la belle ville,
Serait une autre Séville,
S'il en pouvait être deux.

Du 3 au 5 avril 1828.

I beg of you to lift me-
      High above the barricades.
To where your betrothal is not prematurely aborted, but blossoms.
The established world has its limitations.
But the existence of danger takes us beyond boundaries-
To touch the castle in the clouds.
Howbeit we may tumble about the mist at His will.
        -Our allure will cause no mercy.
For even God thought the Devil beautiful moments before He cast Him out.
Though I am no Lucifer, I am a dreamer.
And it is said-
That at one point even the Devil dreamed of his own alcazar-
       Among Him.
Nannette Scott Sep 2010
Him
What is it about you
that makes me feel the way I do?

Is it your eyes
beautiful as a sunset sky.
Or is it your hair
that's caused me to care?
Maybe it's your smile
making my heart go wild.
Is it your arms
making me long to belong?
Did the sound of your voice
help me make my choice?
Or are you a "Je ne sais quoi"
whose penetrated this here Alcazar?

I'm not sure as to what is
making me want to only be his.
All I know
is these feeling will grow.
And only in time shall we know
if i'll forever be in limbo.

Salut—welcome to Madam’s little fortune shop
Where you can see your own fate within an incense drop
My horns shimmer with necklaces that defeats all hexes
And my weapon is a skull of luck for both of the sexes
Now come and rest your left palm on this pentagram
I assure you that this is not a satanic scam
Cards shall give out a tale born from your consequences
As well as the horoscope that’ll mess with all five senses
I can pin a previous life and death within a single scar
I can name all your relatives as far as ones in alcazar
Withdraws are The Sun, The Moon, The Lovers, The Fool,
Listen to the revelations of storylines on your stool
With the Debut of Temperance, The Devil, the Hierophant,
Listen to the ways to avoid a man who is a sycophant
Pick a number from any of my twelve golden coins
To reveal a former lover that one day you shall rejoin
Now kindly look past the glimmers of my crystal ball
And you’ll see just how much your fortune can rise or fall
Last month, I asked a few artists if I could make poems based off their work, but I never got the chance...Until now. This poem is based on this lovely stockwork mashed up by Jasminira from DeviantArt: https://www.deviantart.com/jasminira/art/Predictor-785894696. I think this might be the best poem I've ever written, even more than Stringed Girl, tbh. Hope you guys enjoyed this.

Adam, beauty of my splendours’ wake
Adam, gorgeous of my woman's make
Like blended incense of a skilled perfumer-longer lasting
Precious is your every moment’s memory-forever fascinating

Sweet like honey dripping with tastes
Exulting like melodic music to banquet
Exalting as glory of saints sequences
Fragrant like blossoms-blooms to bouquet
You are awesome, Adam, my handsome!

Betwixt your endearing arms embrace
There is no other kingly palace-
In the world, better than being in this place
You are mine ever, fortified fortress!

Your arms enclosures are posh and precious-what a delightful pleasure!
Than all the Royal Palaces in the world- the Palace of Pena,
The Buckingham, the Bellevue, the Palace of Versailles…..
You are my refuge, my strength, within you I am at peace!

Your hugs and kisses are the safest and secure citadel, château!
More than the newly built castle-Castle In Love with the Wind, Conwy Castle
The Château de Chambord or the worldly Windsor Castle, the Edinburgh Castle
Better than the Neuschwanstein or the Alcazar or the Culzean Castle

On your pleasured chest
What more luxury lusciously nest?
Than this peacefully plumed softs on to rest
On yours is a cozy quilt pillow-purest!

Adam, I adore you, you are the one for me and I am the one for you!
Like you are never any and if any there are not many but only of you a few
Adam, my strong man, your body is like the vigour of a youthful river flow
Shaped and chiseled finely like Archangel Michael’s-without any a flaw
Your stamina is of a stallion, raised for the royal loyal knights, princes and kings

You eyes, they burns with allure like summer suns, with calmness and warmth
Your looks alone, burns my cold skin with a warm tenderness and a happy healing health
With you, again, my under skins shivers, vibrates with a new chill feel of elated lively wealth
You build stars for me even when my sky is a sorrowful sea of melancholy and misery

Adam, look at how you build-fascinating, amongst the pride of your elites
Like a cherub injected with alchemies of never getting old but growing younger
Straight and tall you stand-dominant before me conquered, deeply rooted as Lebanon’s cedars
And when me you touch gently o-ooh! It is with soft so tender as river lilies sacred splendours
Adam, you are killing me, skinning me while still I am living, let me first die for you!

Let me feel your loving lips digging deep into mines meager burning complete even my heart
Let me first touch those sinews and serrations all over your graceful figurine
Let me first prostrate, adore you-my king and knight, my warrior and worship!
Let me fancy you muscle man, a delighting idol of your deity’s outline
Let me a little look in those starry eyes of yours and see my fragility safe in their security

Let me feathery feel weighed in those toddler’s sways and swings of your swift palms lifts
You arms strength drawing all my energies faint, as it goes round my wasp’s waist
Then you can slay and slice me-**** me subjugated into a humble defeat before you
In whatever way you want and feel best, I am capitulated-your captured and conquered queen!

Adam, before you, you are the coveted master and I am your surrendered slave
Besides you let me leafy feel, little and small dancing on your burly biceps
And my brittle petite bottoms sit safe on top of your large ****’s laps
For you alone are my glorious king-Adam, you send me deep into my craving grave
Stretch and save me from the abyss of my trepidations and temptations-I want you, for good!

starting? ending? ******?
people look near but far,
we question our steps thinking if this is max,
begging for a start, end, or a ******.

we follow another, join someone in forever.
just to discover a sleepless goner,
a somnambulant spell into my eyes,
to find a caravan to my lover.

synchronicity events, enubilous vision,
ineffable thoughts, yet a utterance concision.
strong as an alcazar, but an ignoble,
you are still my confidant in where there is concordance.

Sudden thirst for adventure
Nagging my brain off to venture
In a citadel of imagination

So much possibility
Yet out of reach in ability
Thoughts built an alcazar in pure elation

These hopes clash with the ordinary -
Mediocre, prosaic reality
But maybe simplicity's not as bad as they say

The search for 'extraordinary'
Will have to wait in its dormitory
So, I'll leave them in my dreams
                             for another day......
