"advaita" poems
To some, life is a collection of public functions and the rest is death,
To some others, life is a collection of private functions and the rest is death.
Advaita destroys this worldly order.

this head i hold
it isn’t all me
this body i’m in
im not entirely it
these eyes i use
cant see all
these ears
won’t hear all
this heart
lets emotions reign
what’s real is
not words
or thoughts
or feelings
or surroundings
there’s always more than this
this is not all there is
because we cannot grasp all there is,
see the dreaming of the dream

thirst, in each atom of the river
cloud, melting its heart
one ripple and one experience
the flow is the fascination
"what will be achieved?"
the torment questions.
"the balm of rose fragrance
and the sweet scratches of thorns"
is the answer of this penance.
"how far is the deliverance?"
"there, where you become i".
"what you offer?"
"my soul filled with your images."

ADVAITA***a Vedantic doctrine that identifies the individual self with the omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. --( loving-- is it not the process of loosing the identity for a better world ?)

It was difficult to
rewrite one's own death―
on parchment paper. The cloudburst,
had washed away your writ.
The cadaver turns around
and talks. Faith and fire going together.
A flickering light from the brown
eyes, would tell about Advaita. The
nonduality of pain and body.
You can become painless―
if you leave the physical and
watch yourself intently.
Captivity crumbles. You want
to make sure, the bread does not
come between desire and grief.

*we have always
searched and found
Two..
but in our age
Advaita is rising..
rising with questions
what where and when
attempts to locate
that illusive "I"..
the mind explores
in familiar haunts
but energy flags..
this good news:
the search failed
not finding
is finding..
and the prize
Not Two...*
