(About my imaginative crush)
You spotted snakes with double tongue,
  Thorny hedgehogs, be not seen;
Newts and blind-worms, do no wrong;
  Come not near our fairy queen.

      Philomel, with melody,
      Sing in our sweet lullaby;
    Lulla, lulla, lullaby; lulla, lulla, lullaby!
        Never harm,
        Nor spell nor charm,
      Come our lovely lady nigh;
      So, good night, with lullaby.

Weaving spiders, come not here;
  Hence, you long-legg’d spinners, hence!
Beetles black, approach not near;
  Worm nor snail, do no offence.

      Philomel, with melody,
      Sing in our sweet lullaby;
    Lulla, lulla, lullaby; lulla, lulla, lullaby!
        Never harm,
        Nor spell nor charm,
      Come our lovely lady nigh;
      So, good night, with lullaby.

Let it be by the winter storm that I find my worth
As I stand in your love that's undeniable
Living in the freedom that you died for is my desire
I stand in the grace that goes on forever
In You I will rest and find peace
You alone deserve the praise Jesus
I surrender Lord as l sing through the night of your goodness to me

You're faithful, kindΒ Β and trueΒ
Merciful and loving is what You are
a refuge for the lost and oppressed
The Lord of knowledge and power
Holy and righteous in natureΒ
Glory be to YouΒ Β in every season

He drove me to the sea
I make small steps
barefoot

Barefoot steps in the cold
sand, I do my best
I don't lie down

The toes of my feet
comes towards me
Next to his steps

We have done this
before, nothing wrong
The wind was always blowing

salt into my hair
foam into my words
playing hide and seek

inside my head, and the seagulls
squawk shrilly through it
I get lost in language

differences and bad
connections, and still
he does not notice
For Maria Godschalk #139 --- Collection "On living on"
Isaac afunadhula Sep 2021
There was the moon and sun before the beginning of time
With a point of reference they sang to the most High

The moon rubbed words of praise around the stars as He stretched out light to his child covered with mud who cried out as he worshipped

The moon and stars rejoiced to the son of God who stood with glory and might

The sun sobbing with overwhelming joy bowed down and sang all day to His true king in Heaven
I wrote this when I thought that I had lost everything but there I was inspired to write this poem
