Tommy Jackson Nov 2015
Scatterbrained I stare outside my window pane.
Once clear with a yard fresh the falling rain.
The flowers bloomed as meadow gained.
Now the yard is due for fall leaf change,
As cold will come and snow will show.
The earth renewal in humane plow.
Once the budded seed's
Now dead as the ground.
Venturing into a new phase,
Embarking into another, where sister's and brother's meet on the holiday's. A gravy bowl on Christmas day, thanksgiving for the giving again and again. Grandchildren to dress up as Indian's and pilgrim's, tradition mixed with fiction. Wife in the kitchen. While at that time nothing could be sweeter then my family in my eyes.

Gave nothing
Tommy Jackson Nov 2015
We count our sorrows
Spew our hate
Goodbye planet nothing
It's far to late.
We landed our fate
A date with the bad
We forgot the good
Became horrible moms and dads
We taught our children nothing
Thought we gave them something
Nothing is for nothing
When we gave nothing.

Common sense
Tommy Jackson Nov 2015
You can choose to hate
Or you can choose the gift of love
But you cannot choose the middle fence,
Choose the path of love
Use your common sense.

My own quotation!
Tommy Jackson Nov 2015
Take lessons from a dying man
Give thought to the living.
Tommy Jackson Nov 2015
I'll gladly deposit my cool laid back love
Inside my wifeys heart
She's the best that's come
She's the delicacy of life.
She takes care of my wear and tear
And protected me under her life.
The younger generation hasn't learned yet
Its not about what you can take
But what we can give--
Not being selfish
Just being in the moment with our husband's and wives
Is something we shouldn't miss.
That hug and kiss
That tomorrow may never come
Ill cherish it now
Before to late
I may be growing
But **** not dumb.

My young one-moving on
Tommy Jackson Nov 2015
Wishing you well
Grandchild of six
You left young
You had no sight
But learned to have fun
Resting at six
I'll see you another sixteen plus,
My young grand baby
My young one.

Basis
Tommy Jackson Nov 2015
She welcomes me as the rose in her garden, she's the ultimate connective staircase to the heaven I climb on a continual basis.
She's my wife
The love that's right,
When I'm lost or found.
She is my basis.

Who cares why worry
Tommy Jackson Nov 2015
My daily motto
Your getting older now-
So why care for others gibberish,

Why worry for what's not to worry
I'm getting old, remember tommy?
Other's will always dislike or like you
Who cares and why worry?

Rock and rolling death
Tommy Jackson Oct 2015
Major shifts in the industry
Rocker's turning crocks
And crocks turning rocker jocks.
All about the cash, they string on the set
No more rock and roll
Its dying,I'm getting old
Bookies on clients place their bet's.
New hottop shot caller's
Benz roller's
With girlfriend mallers.
No real rock and roll hardly left
Rock and roll's dead.
Rock and roll left the building!

Back in honey buns arm's
Tommy Jackson Oct 2015
Back home
In the comfort of my honey bun's arm's,
I'm embraced by her European face
I'm feeling a sense of gratitude, happiness, not growing old in age
Today I once again have turned the page
Let out my rage
To be great tomorrow.
Back from my trip
A memorable one,
Now my lips
Are polited
By my Honey bun's!
Tommy Jackson Oct 2015
Got to string out the guitar backstage
With Ben bridwell from the Band of Horses,
Drank a beer with J. Tillman of the Fleet Foxes
With Colin Richey I had a glass of wine
And me and my band for one hour shined.
I rocked with known rockers
Follower groupies,
Not to mention or did I?
With my second string player
I smoked a magnificent doobie.
What a week it's been
Three more days
Then coming back home.
A getaway to remember
A getaway well known.

Seattle jam session
Tommy Jackson Oct 2015
I have to take a plane
Further out west. To Seattle, high city, mountain dressed.
I have to take a plane
Jam out the western peaks,
This southern guitar will reverberate the club's
Jam session 101.
E. Spruce street,
A cocked back string for me
Is going to be the Wests loaded gun.
Going away from this page for two week's going to be out in Seattle Washington for a jam show with me as an invited guest, not to mention to lead show a few well knowns, fleet foxes, band of horses, Hey Marseilles, as more unknown artists who are just starting to grow like me. Wife's going with me will be a long journey to northwestern united States.

To dad
Tommy Jackson Oct 2015
I was taken back to the age of twenty one
Just a few minutes ago, thinking
I was the son of a madman alcoholic who seemed to know only what living was while drunkened to his stupor. But I loved my dad despite his way's of binging and not coming back for week's.
Dad again to you I wish I could speak.

susurrate her love
Tommy Jackson Oct 2015
My hands go over her body
Like soap with the suds
Daddy's coming home baby
Be ready, fed, dressed, and good.
Do I want to, will we? Should?
All the shoulds in the world
Undressed my baby girl, on a
Melodic string I hold her heart
As she susurrates more of the good
Stuff baby.

Rock and blues
Tommy Jackson Sep 2015
Reverberation hit's the auditorium
Wailing notes and key's, guitar, piano
Chord's splash sound to the crowd
Leaving traces of burnt trails
Like the neighborhood crematorium.

Girdle, gurgled amplified effect's
Some do it for the love, other's for a check,
Fifty musician's. One stage to be the attention
Microphone's and xylophone tones rock out
To jam overtaking, to rock and blues ripping.

I had a joint, the left hand
Took a ****. Off I choked
I saw the smoke, as the lsd
Hit me I became a different man.
Different plan's took over my head
A bag of munchies, food so crunchy
I was alive and saw the trails from the acid
I was as good as dead:
Took another microdot, the color's flew.
I saw everyone from past and present
I guess the mescaline from the night before
Made me who I am today to.

Cheapened down alot
Tommy Jackson Sep 2015
I was a little squirt
The nerd, on mission street, long hair
Seemed ungroomed, cleaned pants, guitar
Posters in my room.
The dead, the doors, the who, the stones.
Concert tickets to make me remember
What it was like high and gone.
So many years, to remember what I've gone through
Now nothing's old no more.
Societies cheapened down to the new.
Tommy Jackson Sep 2015
I felt a different way today
A way I have never felt

I remember thirteen
When dad took me down with his belt

It wasn't abuse, just one good smack
Now father's no more even touch, or hold their child's hand's

Father's I see dont care as they used to
Now their to fixated on their job's and their woohoo's

Thirteen, the day when I cussed out pop's
He had his nineteen fifties outdated belt, I felt a quick pop

On my knees I dropped, cried only for a little
Afterwards a smile, dad realized I had giggled

Wiggling out of the sticky situation
Only young and dumb, a look complacent

But dad taught me something, even of myself
Dont take your child for granted. Show your child your love felt.

Tommy Jackson Sep 2015
I won't be superannuated
I keep up with the time's
Though phone's and rock
And roll go together now
On musical preference
A handful for a dime.

I won't be monotonous
I won't be humdrum,
I won't be dull, boring
I won't be my own
conundrum.

I will be a genre of
My own accord.

Eminent bands
Blue's, rock, metal, slapping hand's

These jam's homemade fresh

No cheap microphone

This is my reminiscence
Tommy Jackson Sep 2015
I was edgy
On edge
On her bed.
Losing my head,
Feeling dread
Lost instead.
She leaned in
Showed me sin
Passed a note
I smile, nod, grin.
Seventy-six,
A year to quick
She had me
I slipped.
Got high with the coolies
Rock and rolled
Forgetting me
And my wife's
Late night movie.
Met her back
At her up stairs pad.
Had her then
Still have her now.
And still I'm at her place
I got her hooked
From my jamming
With strings, and my ring
She's my honey bunches honey bee.
This is my reminiscence
For my sugary dream.

Guinness green applause
Tommy Jackson Sep 2015
Copius family
When my day's aren't so good.

Populous of the kisses
From my dandy, she make's bad better, and mean's understood.

Irksome Hassel's
I easily from these get upset.

Anger comes out
From word's not meant, the old guitar does pay the rent.

A shiny string , my wife who sings
Zero cool, to make me drool. Her vocalizing makes me fling.

Far out I tell her, she's a low down rocking mom
Rocking out, passing out, to Guinness green applause.

Thanks pops
Tommy Jackson Sep 2015
If I could flip back
The years I have lost
If I could return
To my mom and dad's cost.
The cost of their life
To give me my food
Us as young kids are to busy,
Seeking self-evident childhood truths.
If I could, I'd tell mom and dad one last goodbye
I found out the secret to living
When mom and dad died.
But dad did always tell me
Son, when your years get golden
You gain more Grey's, that means a sign of wisdom
So don't be afraid to be outspoken.
Dad was right
The more controversial the topic, the more golden are word's.
Thanks pop,
These words now to many will be heard!

How were we raised
Tommy Jackson Sep 2015
What is self destructive behavior
Is it hate one savours,
Is it the humiliation one gives for flavor.
What is kindness, is it fineness
Of a delicacy not served to the people and their wants.
Just to mure someone in a corner
As we raise our sons and daughters
We should probably take a look at how we
We're raised ourselves.
Tommy Jackson Sep 2015
i promise you an endless love
that will never change
my love to you will always exist
to comfort you through the hard times.

i promise you an endless love
that will support you
all through the long way.

my love to you is like the sun
that will bright all your life
and warm you through the cold nights
my arms will always be open
to hold you very tight.

my love to you is not like the wind
that blows and soon goes away
my love to you is like the air
that surrounds you from everywhere.

my life is like a candle in your hand
to light your life
when you are afraid of the darkness
and blow it off when you are safe
this candle will always light your way
until it melts away.

Buoyant is the way to go

Crossroads of life
A bombilate jumbo.
Intersection of strife
Friction rub's its surface.
Prelude solitude
Is only the beginning.
Desolation, destitute
Needing more, and I'm not winning.
Buoyant, for my wife I do dehisce
Burping fondness as we both grow older.
Let the heat take us
Forget those nights
That got colder.
Tommorrow I do look forward
To.

Giving poetry rocker style
Tommy Jackson Sep 2015
Compassion is key
If you have faulted needs
Leave behind your beliefs
And let the release
Of poetry increase
To be you and me
Let's run the rocked streets
And if we do meet
Let's shake gentle hands
But if we do argue
The better ways are planned.
I have no demands
But to give something new
And when your a poet
It's giving
That's something we must do .

Us and our hubby's
Tommy Jackson Sep 2015
From the innocent time of twenty one
All the way now over the fifty mark!
I've realized,
Fifty plus, just enough
Perfect timing
Age stay's defining.
The moment's
The grand kids
The hellos
Goodbye's
The life's that we live
Every last second is surely a choice
By which we must
Make the right choice
With our Hubby's
It's only us who matter
Our voice.

Memories are a part of life
And to
A part of love.

As do day's
A see you later
Turns into goodbye drugs.

To not think again
Will the honey come back
Can I smile pretend.

Or waiting for her to return from her trip
I miss her little nighty
The one that's red cotton glitz.

For better
Or for worse
In a chapel
Or a church
When pictures
Of our wedding rehearse
Lights camera and action
So many people
The room swollen and the crowd
We dash to the doorway
Our kids are yelling loud.
The vows
Forever to be
In our golden years.
The golden years are
Here to stay, harmony
exhilaration pedal to the metal.
