Unsatisfied?
Discontented?
Not so pleased
with the space you've rented?

Feeling anxious?
Unrequited?
All your negatives
united?

Getting angry?
Turning violent?
No longer willing
to stay silent?

Write a flower.
Plant a poem.
Find peace inside
your own true home.
Just trying to channel some Fats Waller and turn my frown upside down.
There was once a little boy so naive
In his pure heart, he used to believe
That he had the journey of his life planned
Little did he know that his city full of dreams was about to become a no man's land.

He used to observe everything, every person around him
Asking "Why isn't every one like me, the me, full of vim?"
He thought he could stay the same, he thought he was capable
Little did he know that change is inescapable.

People saw him as he was, not what he could become
Because as a kid, he didn't have difficulties to overcome
He thought his innocence was secure
Little did he know he had a dark side to endure.

A "go with the flow" kinda guy, he didn't seem to care
He didn't realize life was gonna be a nightmare
So small, so innocent, so immature
Little did he know his hopes were going to demolish for sure.
It's a heart on world with my sleeve steadily exposed
A life line on a call line, dial 888 to be controlled
Puppets on a string to compose this household
The happier we'll be the more we're enclosed

Smaller spaces to lengthen the gap
       Encircling our inner self control
Consuming what's left of the demons
Trying to get a refund on our soul

Love changes colors like a rhyme
Smooth and easy
Eyes like the darkness of time
Slow and steady

Yet we're still not ready for the fight
Insanity walks through the door
And just when the time is right
Our beliefs slowly melt into the floor
And she was lost
she didn't know what she felt anymore,
She was both happy and sad at the same time.

She would never tell
how she felt,
she would stay quiet
and keep it for herself.

She had lost so much
and gained so little,
she would laugh
and she would smile,
she would act like everything was fine
but she new
she was living a lie,
behind her smile
she held a broken heart.

She would forgive over and over again
just because she was afraid to lose
someone who never saw her real worth.

She expected too much
and never learned to let go.
she got attached too fast
and when time came,
a part of her was gone too.

And all those promises
in which she believed
flew away just like the wind

And she waited,
and waited,
but he never came.

All she ever wants
is to never feel again
because every time she feels,
all she feels is pain.

When I look over
my shoulder
all I see is a star
shining through
a dark hole
and hear a strange sound
like wind crying out
through the trees
or the creaking
of limbs
a dark shape
passing over the moon
like an omen
of a mad woman
I once knew
a ghost ship
spreading her legs
like a cross
arms reaching out
her name lost
to my memory
something that sounds
much like my doom.
