I held his hand firmly on the fairground.

There were ferris wheel and rocking boat
even a flying saucer
of rides worth a few pennies

but the boy embracing that unlucky age
had his eyes stuck on the shining silver blue
beaming behind the sparking glass
full with rotor blades ready to take off
dreaming a ride to the sky
past the high tent of the circus
over the tallest coconut tree
into the haze of stars
where to only lonely pilots could fly
for being loved and understood
and not questioned for the cracked voice
for the thin hairlines on upper lip
for glancing at the girls
but inducted into the team of thirteen
for perpetually traversing between stars
on free rides into freedom
worth a lifetime.

I tried to limit myself from moving about.
The more places I moved the more darkness I spread..
But I also noticed, the longer I stood in one area.
The darker it became.
I was a misunderstood shadow..
In a world made entirely of light...
I need to get back home..

I returned to the place I was before. It was easy to find as I tracked my dark steps back to the light door I came through.  Seemed every dark step was being analized by a light being.  All of them had an object I remember seeing right before I came here.  It was the same objects I saw the three figures take into the light door right before I went through.  The object then seem to absorb my dark step returning it back to its light state.  It soon got to a point where the light beings were following me with these dark absorbing objects.  I was like a moving car leaking oil. I know soon that I will be found.  I then heard thunder above.  A glowing light blue rain fell from the light clouds.  The raindrops that fell on me became dark drops as they ran along the light road.  My darkness was spreading! I need to get to cover!
But needs to steal light to stay alive..

Why, oh why can't I get to sleep?
I've tried everything like counting backwards
And even counting sheep

Lavender oil on pillow
Or a hot and milky drink
Why is it when I go to bed
I always lay and think?

Have I locked all the doors
And switched off all the lights?
Tired all the next day
Due to sleepless nights

I really need to switch off
From the worries of the day
But things that have happened
On my mind they play

I need to cut down on my caffeine
Cos my B.P. is hitting the roof
It's one of the reasons I lay awake
I don't need anymore proof

It's a small price to pay for a decent night’s sleep
So now I will finish this rhyme
Off to Dreamland I’ll go with a calm rested mind?
Till the alarm on my clock starts to chime

Through the light door I went..
I traveled through space passing by stars and nebulas..
I was on a trail made of different colored light beams..
I was going so fast..
But yet could not feel it..
It was as though I was not moving at all..
But I was..
And then I arrived!

I arrived to a place made entirely of light.  The structures, the ground, and even the people were all made of light.  All except me.  I could not see myself! It was very strange.  I was also invisible to everyone here.  I walked among the light world unnoticed to all.  I walked and walked until I was outside the light city.  I came upon a forest with light trees and grass.  I took a light trail and followed it to a river made of blue light.  The luminescent water flowed just like the water back home.  I then decided to head back to the city and found that the light trail I walked on is no longer lit.  In fact everywhere I had set foot seem to be losing its luster and shine.  What remained was a trail made of nothing but darkness.  My dark steps were being looked at by all the light beings.  I could sense a rise of panic.  What have I done!  I do not belong here! I need to get back!
A light world that knows no darkness
