Over the years,
I've built up my walls.
My mind is a rose garden maze,
and all this haze
will soon disappear.
My mind will finally be clear.
Let me just tell you that my mind
is a beautiful place.
My thoughts deep within,
will change the way you see this world.
You'll finally realize
this world isn't so bad after all.
Sometimes,
you must open up
to see things more clearly.
as the leaves fell
from the autumn boughs
he recalled to mind
their wedding vows
the golden maple hues
reminded him of her wedding ring
it stood for something lasting
yet their love died
in the cooling wind's chill
which was for him
a most bitter pill
the brown colors of November
tumbled into his heart
for his once loving wife
did depart
his eyes filled with tears
as the skies
clouded in grey
their betrothal of love
on the autumn boughs
drifted away
we felt the first cold
cuddled.

my neck and your nape
nestled.

the white around us
settled.
I now don't mind that
you look at me as if
I were glass.

Because when I started
looking at you the same,

my vision has never been so clear.
I see things better now that you're out of the picture. :)
