In the throes of Heartbreak Canyon,
I came across a fellow rover;
he spoke of his undying love,
while she told him, it was over.
We shared the lonely miles together,
and talked about, the pits of hell;
he was a spectacle of plight,
a man in torment...I as well.
Yet there are hurts that can't be shared,
and there are words that can't be spoken;
there's only emptiness of souls,
when two loving hearts are broken.
Lost in a wasteland, nothing grows,
the ground beneath you... shaking;
and you've no solace from a friend,
a sorry world of your own making.
Here's where Heartbreak Canyon is,
it's in the canyons of your mind;
where misery replaces love,
lost with souls of your own kind.
4 Haiku for the spirit

To fly far away
Let clouds absorb unhappiness
Tears a summer lake

Haiku
Melancholy
Unburden my heart of grief
Leave as morning fog

Haiku
As an eagle soar
Weightless for a second
As an oak leaf falls

Haiku
The burden of mist
Obscuring dawn's brilliance
Silent is the house
Healthy pond lives wild
thriving bumblebees living stung
silently dying

Stop
faint-hearted and light headed
the tender caress from you gentle embrace
your hand pressed upon my cheek
and the other in my wind swept hair

lock me in with the innocence
don't rush and don't worry
tell me the secrets that lay upon
your winter bitten lips

lay your body against mine
sweep me into the moment
for nothing is as sweet
as your cherry chapstick kiss

Stop
tell me a dream
the deepest desire in your soul
pleasure me with your imagination
whisper things untold

Stop
curl your toes
ball your fists
while he screams
that's the only way
to keep your anxiety
and your anger in
that's the only way
to breathe
Though we can't change the order of things
Nor make some moments better
Nor alter what fate brings -
We can be there for one another

Though we can't stop the sun from burning
Nor the ice from layering rivers
Nor stop the tides from turning -
We can be there for each other

Though we can't wipe away all tears
Nor ease the many brows of grief
Nor remove the shadows of fear -
We can be there together

Though we can't hold the dusk at bay
As darkness begins to fill the sky
We can still brighten the grey -
When there with one another

And when the snow streams a mile
When the scent of flowers fills the air
We can hold hands and smile -
When there with one another
Under the snow
Your face says happy
But your eyes say  pain
To have you in my dreams..
devoid of just a touch..
is but a nightmare..
a barren land..
my destitute.
