A collaboration between SG Holter and Elisa Maria Argiro

Hesitating here, silent edge of this dark forest,
I look beyond me, warm in the white fog.
Seeing your heart, now residing deep within
the ancient wood, is to know it is blessed, loved.

Silver tongue resting now in golden silence.
Palms of soul upon moss and brittle bark.
Animal song; scent of beasts approaching unafraid.
Fierce peace. The opposite of a machine.

In the rising sap of silent trees around us,
our deeply beating pulses listen, dance,
smiling kisses at the shining stars, new planets.
Eyes open, anima and animus press tightly
And distance is no more.

"What language is Yours,"
I ask the still growing giants of
Green.
"Silence and its sister tongues
Such as leaves dancing with the
Breeze," they reply within the
Gap between soft sounds and
Softer ones.
So we speak through breaths
Exchanged, of nothing.
Two souls afloat upon the stream
Of Union with All.
What is Cosmos,
But "home"?
Never a visitor.
Never a stranger.
Nowhere has anyone ever been
Lost, or
Away.*

Humming your essence into my veins,
in tune with the wordless languages
of green lives and wind, listening
among delicate flowers, sleeping here
on the forest floor, wakeful and awaiting
the next sound of your voiceless voice,
wind words blowing
through my long, curling hair,
feeling the intention of your
untouched touch,
at home, just being.

(as a collaborative poem)
The parking lot
Is empty
The ballroom is a mess
There’s an untouched
Cake next to
An unworn dress
Today should have
Dawned a perfect new start
Now the champagne is nursing
A broken heart
My life is over as I know it
I'm in love with a poet
She hides away at night
deep in her shell
So her sordid tales
she can tell

I read some lines with disbelief
Feeling sadness, feeling grief
It doesn't have anything to do
with love or trust
I don't want other men
for her to lust

His Awakening, Midnight Lover
Are these words just a cover?
It's not her
it's definitely me
I have some kind
of deficiency

Just keep on writing
I understand
to be the queen
sure must be grand

Before I end this
I request one thing
if you are the Queen
can I be your King?
A desert between us?
Only in your dreams.
Your longing?
Reciprocal, it seems.
Your heart ache?
Nothing compared to mine.
My promises?
Rare and always held.
Your smile?
Bright sunray
Throughout my day.
Your heart beats?
My earthquakes.
Your verses,
Daily narcotics.
My horizon?
Just to love you,
On and on.
In the crowd I saw someone
All in a haze, so filmy
Nothing did I see clearly
But a pair of love lit eyes
Riveted on me
My heart skipped a beat
Did my face grow pale?
Or got colored by a blush?
I lowered my eyes
And looked away

But I saw him advancing
Coming straight to me

      My heart began to race
My breath got hitched
My lips went dry and parched
I didn’t hear what he asked
Words got stuck in my throat
When they came
They came out broken and raspy
I felt as if struck
By congenital paralysis
Unable to move my ****** muscles
Either to utter a word
Or curve my lips into a smile!

      Felt butterflies in my stomach
A tremor took over my hands and legs
Beads of sweat appeared on my brow
My mind went blank
The world came to a sudden halt
Forgot where I was
I got frozen in time

Not knowing the futility of adolescent yearning
For long, I juggled with his unspoken words
“I    L….O….V…..E   you!
This poem  is already on HP. But  finding it well suited for the poetry contest organized by Jordan Rains, I am re posting it.
Poet chicks
Odd, indeed
Every race, every colour
Every creed
Some of us daughters
Some mothers
Emotions intense
Especially when we're lovers
It takes great courage you know
To do what poet chicks do
Serving our feelings up
On this screen for You
Heroines of words
World's in which we live
Poet chicks are rarely greedy
With all the emotions we give
I raise my glass to you
Poet chicks around the world
Never drop your pens
Or forget, that you ROCK girls
For all the poetesses here at hp who've been so kind to me and taken me on the most beautiful, sad, dark, happy, lustful, romantic journeys. Thank you for letting me wander through your dreams;)
You and me were born in infinity
Residing in the space between stars
Where candles exemplify your sacred geometry

We travel on vessels created from our hearts
To witness the grandeur of nothingness
The awe-inspiring atmosphere of the heavens

I want to take your hand and press it to
My throat to feel the pulsing life within
And begin a journey into nebulae clouds

Staring at your eyes taking notice
That your hazel irises resemble spiraling galaxies
And their central black holes pull me in

There is much to discover within the cold void
From which we both reside
See the moon glow from the other side

Float in peace with me.
