Your cool blue eyes
A shimmering pool
Of memories
And I see them all
And remember them vividly.
And I recall them
Hopelessly.
Because I don't know
If we can ever be what we used to be.
So we grasp at the threads
And everything that's left.
And we try to hold on
For as long as possible.
Until our hands slip
And you fly far away.
I miss you already babe
And I'm not ready for the change
I'll listen to your songs all day...
To our songs every day.
And I guess it's better this way.
Because Fate
Has never seemed to be
In our favor.
But I'll pray
While you're away.
