The city breathes
It starts in leaps and bounds
Secretly seethes
Hates all those bitter sounds

A metropolis bathed in splendour
Alive with raucous  noise
Society in the midst of surrender
A landscape of broken toys

The city never sleeps
An insomniac since birth
Silently it weeps
Tears that paint the earth

The road is alive at night
An ocean of shooting stars
A city of twitching lights
Heard screaming from afar
