In darkness.
He was my light.
I was never enough because I was less,
To him I was never right.
But the worst was at night.

I would cry myself to sleep,
As he never cared about me.
Every tear matched the rhythm of my terrible weep.
You see,

Its called love,
Well at first that's what I felt,
At first its was just a shove,
But then he took out his belt.

Then it was a blur.
I don't remember anymore.
All I can smell is liqueur,
Whilst I lay here,
Sick to my core.
