Black feather, eyes as dark of night
What do you see with those
Pools of midnight,
You scratch upon naked rock
Talons like knifes
Symbols,
Cryptic,
Answers,
Not, for you are the bringer
Of news many wish not to hear,
But you are the midnight bird,
Dressed all in black
Emotions hidden
Behind those eyes,
As dark as coal,
But shine so bright,
What do you want,
What have you come to see,
Bearing witness, to my plight
A messenger to my untimely death,
I touch your feather
Black,
Silk,
Midnight,
Eyes I now see through
I see that you are but a messenger
Not of ill will but to warn
Of deaths intentions on this night
Extinguish,
Smother,
Erase,
My flame called life,
I 'm ready for what is to come,
I nod with expectants,
Thank you,
Messenger,
I miss understood
You are cloaked in darkness
To hide from deaths sight,
Eyes black as midnight, to hide your stare
Fly before you are caught this night
Try to warn others of there impending plight.
