I come upon your altar,
Carrying a heavy heart,
Plagued with questions,
Longing for a place of belonging.

Tears,
Wanting at last to console a face,
To feel the warmth of the sun,
Buried beneath the skies,
Of our world.

The simplest of wonders,
Are the best of lovers.
As always thank you for reading, this is a very special piece to me.
