I am bending in the wind,
I am cracking at the roots,
Drowning in old reboots.

All I know is what I don’t want,
But all I do want is to be proven wrong.
Introduce me to a different song.

I am blending into the trees,
No longer recognized by thee.
Barely floating with my head above sea,
Bearing anchors on each my ankles.

All I can see is who I used to be,
fragments of what once was, just bleeding at the seams.
Just trying to march to my own beat, but finding it easier to flee.

So I go swimming with the fishes.
Everything quiet, everything at peace.
Once easily deceived by shadows of wishes that would never be.
Now only one shark is left swimming at sea.
