“I raised my daughter as a son.”
“I raised my daughter as a son.”
“I raised my daughter as a son.”
“I raised my daughter as a son.”
Over and over these words leave their lips.
Smiling as if they have done a great deed.
Yet they will never say,
“I raised my son as a daughter.”
