Love tangles itself around my heart
Like rugged ropes
Tied in the most complex knots.
My heart was the one who got itself in this mess.
It pulls the ends tighter and tighter,
Hoping that it will eventually feel like a warm embrace,
That maybe the rope will change into silk,
But it's tearing itself apart,
And it leaves ****** scars.
