I came so close to diving in
without a raft
without a paddle
or a canoe
and the worst thing is
I almost dove in
without any of you--
but just a  few chosen words,
(a little piece of someone's heart)
found their way to me
and oh my goodness,
I found a few waves of HOPE
and am swimming free
back to land and solid ground
where I truly am ready
to turn my life around
to try to make it through each and every day
and cling to this Hope
that has come my way.
