Once Were White
fate's mighty mast is surely sinking
drink the punishing sky
comets go down easy
all overboard
lay to rest
the souls of ever
flock together in the never
accept death's caress
at once cold and hot
altogether bright and dim
darkness breathes light into life
through light darkness also lives
sparks take flight
once were night
embers fade to black
once were white
