The leaves lost their luster
The grass burnt out dry
The flowers attempted to cluster
And the skies face went wry

The clouds turned to grey
The birds lost their voice
The night enveloped the day
To which it gave in without a choice

Crows cackled and flew about
Sinfully eager for this date
Innocent shrieks were viewed as touts
All known as mans destructive fate
I wrote this for literature class
