When I die don’t sob and cry.
When I die don’t wear black
and flip that beautiful smile of
yours upside down. Remember
the times you were kissing me.
While they force my body down
to gentle earth’s soil. The graves
won’t handle my soul for long I’m
sure. I’ll crawl my way out of my
wooden box. Rewind the arrows
on your clocks. Sit beside you and
watch. Guard you and make sure
your safe and sound. I won’t leave
you alone. And if you visit my grave
stone don’t bring flowers because I
don’t want to feel officially dead. I’ll be
waiting for you on the other side baby
ready to hold your hands again. I’ll wipe
your tears before they fall down when
you cry. I’ll hear your “I love you’s” inbetween
your every sigh. These are the promises
my heart made the minute you claimed I
am yours. These are the promises I will
keep when the doctors call me cold blue.
When the heartbeats of mine go off the crash
carts scan. These promises are for you
because sweetheart i love you and i
swear my words are loyal and true ~

Let's paint stripes on our
skin. Let's start with lines
of black and white. Why
not wear masks as we
begin ? We can be crazy
and wild. Touch your stripes.
Become alive. Feel the rush ,
feel the fun. Feel the tingle
from your paint brush. Feel
the untamed animal you have
trapped under your skin. Feel
the adrenaline kicking from
within* ~

before i met you
i loved the idea of you
and who you would be

i made my mistakes
so that i could leave every piece
of who i was behind

before i met you
i was a mess of thoughts
stuck in my own head

i began to drown
in my own solitude
of perfect loneliness

you call me your sun
but honestly
you are mine

She has flowers in her
hair. Daisies , daffodils
and other flowers of
spring. He doesn't like
her to cut it off. Because
he fell in love with every
petal and every stem* ~

Things I have sacrificed
Efforts I have invested
Time I have spent
Love I have given

Thought they were appreciated
By the man I have always wanted
But I was wrong...
It's not what I expected

How do I "unlove"* you?
Asked by a woman named Genie
It was a scene from a movie
That totally hit me

Am I able to hate the one I love
Just because I didn't get what I believe I must have?
Or can I just learn to let go and forget
Of the man who doesn't want to  stay?
I composed this poem after watching a Philippine movie "Starting Over Again."
We Live
We Love
We Die

And in between it all
We get hurt

Sometimes again and again
By a lover or by a friend

When death comes, are we all alone?
I wonder if the pain will finally be gone

Do we forget the heartache when we are taken away?
Do we forget the people who created our pain?

I wonder what’s on the other side
This life on earth has been one hell of a ride

His smile was infectious, his dimples imprinted in my mind.
I emulated his smile like it was mine all mine.

I knew him when love was foriegn, and a touch meant nothing ,and nothing became something and something meant everything.
We knew love had no space
trying to force it in a tight place .
Hating but knowing we should give it a break.
Anticipation ,there was no other intoxication for me ,when your hands hugged my hips ,when you kissed my lips
Lost in your eyes ,our hearts found its way back, as  if love was on reserve for a moment .
So we could find who we are .And you are me and I am you when we're together.

I understand that I'm not the first book you would pick up, that is if you were looking at the cover.
For there are so many books with alluring colors, and I am one dim color with a tattered binding.
But understand one thing; just because what your eyes see first isn't what your mind will interpret later on.
Yeah, an eye-catching outside layer is nice to look at, but what about the inside?
I promise you that even though I may not catch your eye, I have an unique story that has descriptive details that will over take you and your senses.
I will leave you breathless.
When you are finished with me and set me down, you will not be done with me.
You will refer to me about many things and one day my storyline may cross your mind.
Just when I thought I've
written you out completely,
scratched your memory off the edges of my bones,
wrung the imprint of your lips from mine,
wretched out every word you ever poured into me,
tore your image from the hippocampus of my brain,
Just when I thought I had said
all there is to say about you,
about us,
about this,
Just when I think I have
finally left it all behind,
You come back to me.

In my dreams
in my late nights
in the bottle of wine I force myself to finish
in the pack of cigarettes I don't even like smoking
in my wandering mind
in the short seconds between each day
in all of my writing,
Your name is always the first thing to be marked down.

Lover, I can't forget
I am still spilling your tongue
from my mouth
You seep through my pores on hot days,
the freckles on my face remind me
of how you once found constellations in them,
you built galaxies in my eyelids,
lover,
the cleansing is only just beginning.

I am too full on our history
There is no empty when it comes to us
I will be forever ridding
myself of your contents
I thought the tidal wave of
still missing had passed
but here I am
drowning again.

Doggy paddling to stay afloat,
I have never been very good
at swimming. I am still
hanging on to the deflated
life raft that is your hand,
you let go of mine a long time ago,
it's about time I do the same.
