Life- A vehement of thrill
ecstatic part is on one's last legs

Glass of life was considered full of stimulous
the stimuli is evaporating
now searching for a transient oasis

i could have left you there,

with that nostalgic air,

of someone playing with my hair.

but i was too daring,

rushing into feelings i fear.

just to see some souls,

see me wasted and not care.

If you took a look
behind the smiles,
the smirks,
the laughter,
and blue eyes;
under the scars,
bruises,
calluses,
burns,
and ink,
I think
you'd look away.

And I had always believed
that deep, nonsuperficial love
would never be
a two way street for me.
That no one would look
below my flesh or,
what I can provide, to
care for who I am
on the inside
like I always try
to do.
So now its
oh so hard to
feel wanted for more
than face value.
For would I
have caught your eye
if I didnt appear
how I do?
Ink runs down my chin
Once its left my lips
It drips and drips
To my fingertips
So I write on a slab
The story of my past
Letters in black
What I’ve been holding back
Once I’m finished
And I’ve used up all language
I take a step back
To see what I did
But it's illiterate
Blobs of nonsense
Is this all that I am
Something no one will understand?
In anger and frustration
I try smearing what makes me a person
But the ink is dry
I cant hide
From who I am
All that I can do
Is add more and more
Till my hands are shaking
And there is new ink in the making
So that instead of black blobs of nothing
I can create colors of wonder and lightning
So that on this slab
I mirrored myself and my past
So that I can come back
To the moment I found who I am
How To Write A Perfect Poem

So you want to write a poem
That the world will want to view
One that is so special
It will change a life or two

You can try to make it funny
To make your readers laugh
Or maybe a love story
To bring a feeling back

You may want to bring them into it
Let them feel your pain
Or show them there's a different side
A new path they should take

You can let them see deep within
Show them something new
Have them ask a question
Or maybe answer one for you

You can write a perfect poem
If its what you want to do
Just take the time and feel the words
That are deep inside of you

Just know that many poems of the past
Get read by very few
Still each poem, your poem is just perfect
If it touches only you

Write your perfect poem

Dizzy, dazed, and sedated,
Nightly rinse bleaching brains,
Slowly spinning me apart.
Roses flashing on screen, withered.

Worshiping at the Pantheon,
Novocaine for the brain.
My habitual easy friends.
Lust conquering love.

Lights go out!
Alone in the dark.
Guiltless shame,
I'll quit after tomorrow.
If you understand the poem, you'll understand the struggle that many deal with. I'm with you! Resistance is possible.

I left all I had behind
with you.
Moved on
into the wilderness,
exposed to the elements,
detached,
on guard,
starting anew.
But all I had
was everything I was.
So who am I now?
I wish I knew.
