Just do your best,

It fell so hard
It rolled on the floor
I just stared
Was it my heart?
It almost broke
Oreo cookie double stuffed
I ate it anyways
My inner rebel said it was ok
It was intact thanks to “the stuff”

Or they may become trash
I begged Grandma- see!
Help me-help them!
Relief... thank you Grandma
They became my “best ofs”

My prison
No guards
No sentence
Just my own awkward silence
swallowing the one and only key
