My words

My poems,
well sometimes they cry,
they argue with each other about today's poetic topic,
sometimes they shout at me,
write no more dark,
I smile back at them,
saying, sorry nicer poems,
but dark's my trade mark!
I'll try to do sweet stuff but I find it hard,
sometimes they're crazy,
sometimes they're not,
I know as many big words as the rest of you,
but I love simplistic,
people who don't write poetry,
understand my basic simple lingo.
I can paint a picture of a million complexities,
what's the point I say out loud,
you just like reading me,
I do short poems normally,
on a mish mash of weird topics,
If I wrote buckets of fancy words,
Guess I'd just get bored!

Here I sit, in my cell,
Looking at my cell,
Realising,
just how beautiful you are,
you were on a high,
high on emotions,
the emotions being love and fun,
Thinking to myself,
how ****** unjust it is,
that I can make you smile,
but, you won't let me in,
your barriers are set in concrete,
anchored to a hellish fear of love,
somehow breaching your pearly gates,
the heaven that I sent you to,
I can't reach you now,
you have shut down,
Your barriers are made from stainless steel,
You just don't want to feel,
Reality,
when it pokes you smartly in the eyes,
listen to me,
for I am wise,
Wizened,
but wise,
And I am always your friend!

A blank canvas, inspires a painter
A blank paper, inspires a poet
From a blank we can draw inspiration
They are not blank, but an empty space
Untouched with the creative juices
To be filled with different moods of hues
And written on, with the most fertile thought
From a blank, we can draw a conclusion
Inspired to come up with most enchanted sketches
As artistry is the masterstroke, drawn on a blank
An abstract idea sketched, to inspire*

I
Opusculum paedagogum.
The pears are not viols,
Nudes or bottles.
They resemble nothing else.

            II
They are yellow forms
Composed of curves
Bulging toward the base.
They are touched red.

            III
Having curved outlines.
They are round
Tapering toward the top.

            IV
In the way they are modelled
There are bits of blue.
A hard dry leaf hangs
From the stem.

            V
The yellow glistens.
It glistens with various yellows,
Citrons, oranges and greens
Flowering over the skin.

The shadows of the pears
Are blobs on the green cloth.
The pears are not seen
As the observer wills.

The depression sets in and the pain gets steady
You don't know if you will ever be ready
To face the world again

The cuts and bruises may be temporary
But the scars are etched permanently
On your heart

You see more darkness than the light
You know you're gonna lose this fight
But you stand up once again

Cuz you know it's darkest before dawn
The ant may fall a 100 times but never gives up
And believing in yourself is the only key
Be strong and get your foes down on their knees
If you fall and you stay you will never succeed
The winners in life are those who get back on their feet
The bigger you are the harder you fall
So put your ego aside and learn how to crawl
'Never Give Up' should be your only motto in life
For this you don't need strength, but wit that's sharper than the knife

So if you ever fall down, it's life on test mode
And to get back on your feet you've gotta remove that load
Put lesser things on your plate and make your life simple
Smile so bright that they all see your dimple
Be happy and everyone will be happy with you
Cuz no one likes a sad soul and that's a story which is true
I know it's easier said than done
But there's no harm in trying so please don't run
