It's Been Cold
Jay Oct 2013
As the leaves change
So do I
When I step outside
and the brisk wind
runs though my bones
I know that it's time
for change.
All the green leaves
becoming more vibrant as
they make their decent
to the ground
Their colors dazzle
and twinkle
as I become dumbfounded
by their beauty
and find it bittersweet
that they only become more beautiful
at the end of their life.
Only when they are waving goodbye
do I take the time to notice.

Her Gravity
Jay Oct 2013
Her beauty
Was gravity
And I always found myself
Fighting against it
Until one day
I fell
Jay Oct 2013
Oh my god
Do her words
Dance through my brain
Nurture my heart
And caress my soul.
But never has
she meant to do these things
on purpose.
She breaks me everyday.

The Good Kind of Pain
Jay Apr 2018
You know the way it feels when your lip busts open?
Yeah.
That's you.

Warm Ups

Small and simple
stretches before leaps.

I miss gliding
flowing
give me something simple

I can't keep inside.

Girlfriend left, again.
Car broke down.
Went outside,
Watched a cricket die.

Unnatural Not to Cry
Jay Jul 2017
Freaked out like I usually do.
Told her I'd be better
apologized for being a **** up

she told me to stop throwing a pity party
she said she's done with that *******
It feels unnatural to not live in melancholy

Her Words
Jay Oct 2013
When you whisper
It sends chills up my spine
and I can do nothing but
freeze
for how soft and sweet
your syllables
seem to be
as your words
slip through my
soul
and I can feel
how light your
breath is
when you're
telling me
you care.

It’s funny that I can keep songs on repeat
But I can’t listen to you anymore
Meaningful positive messages. Meaningful positive vibes.

Stupid words
Jay Oct 2013
I suppose in the end
It was about her
All of my words turn to nothing
and everything now
just turns to dust
every time
I try to speak
All of these words are
meaningless
now

Waiting for the Storm
Jay Oct 2013
Every time it rains
I'm reminded of you
And the way you
came out of nowhere
to let me know it's alright.
When will it rain again?

Accomplishment
Jay Jun 2021
Nature usually has properties
Purely on its own
Undisturbed by man.
I feel the weight and shatter,
Born again.
I'm bad at my job, bad with the fam, a terrible friend.
I just wish I would shatter,
Be born again.
I didn't ask for a name,
Not human grace.
I hate repetition.
Guess, '**** me', again, I hate this place.
I didn't ask to be here, so here's the slightest A-B.
**** all your standards of poetry.
Beauty can die and so can you,
It's not about that.
Who will remember you?

Sounds
Jay Oct 2019
Bad habits,
Bad dreams,
Exist in between
the spaces I'm living in.

I ache for more
some thunderstorms
picking at cold sores.

I'm yours
Ignore
the way I feel.
