You ask me to believe in you,
To trust you,
To love you,
But how can I do those things
When you are a mere chat window
On my laptop,
And the only way I can see you
Is through a small video clip
On a blurred phone screen?

You and your empty words.
Sometimes I wish
You would just leave me alone
So I can rejoin reality.
I sit in the shade
On summer days
And wish I could reach the sunlight.

My days are grey,
And I dream of days
Where I wake up in that same light.

On those days,
I will jump out of bed
And be happy to look in the mirror.

I cannot lie,
I am looking forward
To those days where I will feel better.
It was a lonely kind of smile

that painted my face

the moment you smiled at me

I hid my melancholy

—-

It was a lonely kind of smile

one without a trace

of any kind of glee

as you gaze at me

—-

It was a lonely kind of smile

before I looked away

Not minding your looks

So again I won’t be fooled

—-

It was a lonely kind of smile

and I start to think

Though I’ll never resist you

I’ll try my best to……

Too long.
Too late.
You wanna **** some time?
Ask Jeff about fate.

Too strong.
Too great.
Hey! I resent that,
by the way.

Feel it quiver.
Feel it shake.
Ball it up into a planet,
and then make that Earth quake.

Send the world's end.
You'll find it bends instead of breaks.
Now let's not pretend,
like you've made some sort of mistake.

Process where and when,
then recalculate.
These measurements aren't precise;
there's a bit of give and take.

You lost me way back when you first opened your mouth.
I was following for a minute but then it all went south.
*I can't help it man;
I was born in a deep well.
I've spent my entire life
just slowly climbing my way out.
I could use some help . . .

I see you.
Yes, you reading this.
I see you even when no one else can.
I see you.
