Riding down this old dirt road
Music loud and windows down
Wind blowing through my hair
And wiping away my frown
I turn down the road heading to the lake
The place of my youth and my dreams
Where laughter of long ago
And wonderful memories stream
My childhood was filled with adventure
First boyfriends and kisses in the pines
Camp outs and bonfires, rock pits and games
Yet I felt alone and afraid and confined
I ran from the place where once I was safe
Searching for a way to find peace
Alcohol, drugs and a life filled with shame
Did not the self loathing cease
That was a time as well long ago
With many a story between
The things in my life that have brought me to now
My life I still work to preen
I no longer fight the things of my past
The lessons I've opened and learned
Which brought me back here, the place of my home
With honor and respect now earned

You might think I'm just a dog
But that's where you'd be wrong
If you'd like to see my magic
Then feel free to tag  along
You can watch my master
Take me for a walk
Watch me **** what must be gold
As they bag it up and take it home
Just wondering what goes through dogs minds when people clean up behind them.
Only heaven knows
Where this is going to go
But have you ever stopped long enough
To take a look at your toes

The ones on the right
The ones on the left
How over time
They all look so different

While some seem smashed
Or is that smooshed
Either way that you say
Look at the way that they look

They do love to be free
Fresh air makes them wiggle
And when touched have the need
To laugh out loud giggle

One look at my toes
Shows they're bent out of shape
If they had tongues to talk
Who knows what they would say

With a tuft of hair in each center
Punk rock piggies at their best
I decide as an after thought
To paint each Mohawk red

Told you only heaven knows
Where this was going to go
When I stopped for just a minute
To gander at my toes
Sweetheart I love you,
You don't need a mask,
Your beautiful and smart
and sweetheart I love you,
for you and not for who you pretend to be,
You don’t need to try to be any thing more than you,
Because you are strong and brave
and I know you may not love your self as much as you should,
But sweetheart I love you,
So please don't hide behind a mask,
Let me see you as you and not as any one else,
I believe in you sweetheart,
I know you can do it,
I’m not asking you to smile for me,
I’m not asking you to laugh,
I just want you sweetheart,
Because I love you and I want my sweetheart back.
for my maple
Your body
clamps to mine
like a magnet
or an electric eel.

Feel the jolting
current bounce
and flow and
jerking take
hold of you.

Particles dance
us tighter
together
like fleshly
puppets.

See how we
clutch and
writhe and
grind, hum
like overloaded
lines.

No escape
once you
touch the
live wire.

And anyway:

nowhere else
you want
but here;
nothing else
you want
to be,

but a jello mold
of...

Quantum,
Quivering,
Lust.

An entity

You call me an entity
and you died for me
inside the mouth of the shark
In shards and reclaimed pieces

You call me an entity
and still hold me on the bow
showing me way in the deep oceans
Anchoring the sails through our ails

You call me an entity
and yet use the saw to cut the wood
lighting a fire in my heart to keep me warm
Fuelling the depth cords of my soul

You call me an entity
as I walk in this empty mansion
alone and aloof chasing the phantoms
Rolling in the depth of your ever felt breath

You call me an entity
as my whispers tickles the land down under
as we tow the rainbow holding our love
Making the time to hear your sweet voice
Goodnight to me! We'll find a way to make it through without us...... Good morning darling!
