I want to be a great poet
Make you think and ask questions
Seek the answer to know it
Beautiful poems I want to write

Deep in your heart I want to touch
Bring what I see into your site
Can I get you to laugh and cry
Write my poetry on your mind

I want to write with conviction
To be able tell stories of rhyme
That makes me have to consider
How to write every line

With words new things I will try
Invoke an emotion inside
So you have an experience
Lay it all out on the line

To all the poets of the world
The masters of this very gift
I want to learn  to write from you
And give my poetry a lift

So Edger Allen Poe will teach
Shakespeare will educate too
Wordology I will seek
Till I am a master that's new

If I were a smarter girl,
then I would have left you long ago
I would have turned off my phone
stepped away from your cruel world
and let you go,
but I've never been that clever

If I were bigger
then I'd walk right past you
and when the other boys smiled and winked my way
maybe I would've winked back
but I've never been very visible

If I were happier
then you'd probably love me more
you would want to show me off
because I would make you proud
but I've always been one for tears

The place where I live inside you
is made of shiny plastic
it's cheap and easily subdued
so I moved out
because I won't watch it fall around me

Good bye sweet love
it was nothing less than incendiary
when the rosy glasses covered my eyes
from the certain reality
that soon you will leave
and I will be here reveling in a lost dream
but I'm good and gone
because I've never been one for make believe.

DieingEmbers
Be still my beating heart
for fear thy sound
awakes
once more
the longing of my soul
to feel her breath
again
soft and warm
upon my aching flesh
in prelude
of her touch...

her gentle lips
pressed against mine own
relieving my want
my need
in tender motion
of a kiss.

Im cold
no one knows me
not even myself
Im tired of living with no self-help

Oh hell
Oh well
Guess this fights over
i hear the ringing of a bell

In time
in my own eyes im blind
cant seem to find
my way out of this mess
so much stress
just to impress

Impress who you ask
Matter fact
i dont know that
but all these suicidal tendencies
Someone put an end to me

I feel like i should be quoting Macbeth's final solilquoy
Life is but a wandering shadow
Goes nowhere
like i care

And all our yesterdays have lighted
fools the way to dusty death
Now stop it for a minute
let me catch my breath
Foe his final line
so i may go in depth

Life is told by an idiot
full of events
signifying nothing
so why repent
and now i truly question
can time be well spent?

Just let me lament
Few good times
adn many bad
all sad
i start to get mad

I start thinking
even if i did look
on the brightside id probably go blind
no lie
i bought a suit to meet god
so let me straighten the tie
my final words to you
goodbye

I'm not a dancer, but I know this dance
Perfect rotations around each other
Perfectly rounded yet opposite
Opposing forces locked in a rhythm
Gazing eyes locked in a trance
Carefully spinning around in spirals
Together we dance the sinner's dance

--Christian J. Clark
That familiar internal struggle each of us face at some point in our lives. Sometimes, we join the dance.
Rising like smoke from the eternal spring
Approaching with rose petals at her feet
Angel of hope sheds light on everything
Whenever life is bitter more than sweet

Within our secret gardens of desire
Fountains of sparkling passion locked away
Therein lies hope, forever to inspire
lest optimism ever goes astray

Age sometimes dims the dancing flame of hope
And drudgery weakens vitality
Darkness and sorrow sometimes interlope
Between us and our dearest fantasy

Yet human spirit finds a way to cope
As long as we find inroads back to hope.
Let's not pretend.
We are not aware of truth and recognition.
That a woman's *** appeal.
Doesn't make men buckle an lose common sense.

Let's not pretend.
That good looks to some.
Out rank real love to others.
Notice this and admit it.
It's the world we're in.

To some intelligence means a lot.
Of course you don't have to be the brain too much.
Then there are those that makes it through life looking good.
Who either get used?
Or try too.
It's the world we're loving in.
Admit it.
And recognize it.
It's the truth.
We surrounded daily around proof.
Christmas Eve was coming
There was plenty to be done
There were protocols to follow
There were programs to be run

Presents needed wrapping
Elves had duties of their own
They've been doing it for centuries
They could call Christmas in by phone

Reindeer games were scheduled
Christmas Carols to be sung
There were toys to be assembled
There were bells that must be wrung

Christmas Cakes...no problem
For we all know there's just one
It gets passed around each Christmas
And that is half the fun

But, back now to the reindeer games
Donner wasn't there
But, neither were three others
It gave Santa Claus a scare

He called the elven vet in
Said "find out what it wrong"
"If I don't have all my reindeer"
"It'll ruin Rudolph's song"

The vet came back directly
Hoof and mouth was what he said
The reindeer must  miss Christmas
They were all confined to bed

Santa couldn't take it
Reindeer home...what would he do?
He thought real hard about an answer
Where would he find something that flew

The vet said, "I've an answer"
"But, no questions...just your trust"
"I'll get your gifts delivered Santa"
"I just need your magic dust"

Santa said "do your best Doctor"
"We can't have Christmas end like this"
"Are you sure you have an answer?"
"We can't give Christmas time a miss"

The vet and elves went searching
They formed a team like none before
They went around to the animals
And then they knocked on Santa's door

Santa looked at what they'd brought him
His reindeer gone, but here they stood
A team had been assembled
It made Santa sink into his hood

Harnessed up before him
The vet had two dogs and a bear
A ******, goat, and donkey
And a bald, blind cat...stood there

He smiled and said "Dear Santa"
"They may not look like that much now"
"But, they'll get you where you need to be"
"And they'll be led by a brown cow"

If you hear some noises
From your roof, like bleats and barks
Some, meowing or some mooing
And other strange sounds in the dark

Remember, it's just Santa
With his new team for the season
Rex, Rolf, Billy, Ben, Bessie, Joe, and Mike
and a bald, blind cat who's freezin'

Merry Christmas to all and to all....don't look up!!
