People come and go.
And we let them in with all our heart
just to find out soon enough they're
never
coming
back.
love,goodbye,alone,
soft petal pink lips
caramel ice cream skin
big brown eyes that say come in
and a heart that's made of diamonds

a life taken
a life broken
a life lost (say forgotten)
a life begins and ends, never lived

no recognition
no words of dear ones

bombings
silent screams
voices flattened in the mud - ash
(loud ones heard by none)

wars
marching or killing
sometimes both together
(mass graves no burials no rites)

revolutions
burning homes buildings towers
(men women children infants)

freedom is the prize.
****** is the price.

why did no one stop?
all life is sacred.
still, time marches on,
blood up to it's knees.

more destruction
more violence, their excuse?
peace honor religion opinions?

rallies of hate
against voices of love.
barbarians
in the age of civility...

an ache begins in the seeing heart
why did no one stop?

the pain of knowledge chokes on tears
why haven't they stopped yet?
Inspired by the quote "Fighting for peace is like ******* for virginity". And influenced by the quote "All life is sacred".

The characters you form into words

                                     tingle on my tongue

I can almost taste them
                                         like sweetness
                                                       laced with luxuria

I'd love to pause within them
so that I could just sit
                                     unnoticed
            while you scribe beautiful
                            curls and swirls
                                             around me

Your pen in motion would tell me
             how my name would sound
                    when whispered by you.

Tiptoeing
                          around loving words so gentle
I would feel them beneath my toes
                                           as they brush over them

                                                                playfully

    Wandering slowly between phrases,
phrases that truly capture my heart
          causing an ache inside
            so deep
it's not in my chest anymore

          Longingly lingering in your stanzas
                                     filled with metaphors
                                                            decorated
                                                   with your scent
I close my eyes, and inhale

        My pupils dilate
  at the thought of you,
                             writing

There's such an intense
                                            expression
                                           on your face

I want to reach out ....

If you didn't notice me
             I could stare deep
   into those delicious eyes
                                    so dark

    I sit here,
I wonder what I would see..
I wonder what you are like..
