here we write our epic
from first post
to last bugle fading
and all your readers
throw in a handful of dirt
the day you stopped singing
and turn away to their bowers
to continue in this stranger than fiction endeavour
writing out their hearts and minds one big poem stitched together

When I was small
I walked on fairy dust and
my dreams were as tall
as skyscrapers towering
above the universe
inside of me, was the galaxy.
I was born of the cosmos,
full of light and love
passionate in my quest to
give this to others.
But as I grew my star began to fade,
stars need love and light to survive
and deprived of both my blazing fire
transformed into weak candlelight.
At school I had learnt it was easier
to hide your light
than to stand out as different
and be extinguished in an instant.
So I kept myself to myself
at the back of the class,
knowing the answers but not
shouting them out.
I daydreamed, and doodled
stars on the corners
of my books, all the while
I could hear the universe
calling out to me to trust,
that we are all born of this
cosmic stardust.

I am the Poet, hear my siren’s song
My woven whispers ****** ways and words
Mesmerizing, you will feel you belong
Be part of an inner circle and be heard

Write with me, no lines will be false or blurred
Together we will create and be strong
There’s no need for pleasure to be deferred
I am the Poet, hear my siren’s song

I have been sad and alone way too long
Belonging together is most preferred
Creating brings joy, won’t you come along?
My woven whispers ****** ways and words

Take a chance and your senses will be stirred
Part of our circle, not lost in the throng
We are more together, grace is conferred
Mesmerizing, you will feel you belong

All ideas are welcomed, no thought is wrong
Just know this; your spirit won’t be interred
May our venture be successful and long
Be part of an inner circle and be heard
I am the Poet

A strip of barren land
Stark, forbidding
But I sat there and watched a flower grow
Bringing a bright splash of colour
To this dead land
Bringing a bright splash of hope
To a world sinking into the darkness

A Watoot
I am so sorry for invading part of your privacy.
I find happiness in my dreams
I'm sure I do, or so it seems.
In dreams I feel and fly and sing
In dreams I do most everything.

I'm strong as an oak
And all things I know,
And I can go wherever
I long to go.

There's no limitations
No holds barred;
And this earthly vessel
Is a beauty unscarred.

And this soul that cried out
Sometimes at night;
Is filled with joy
And void of fright.

All those things I long to do
In dreams they really do come true.
That loving adventurous person I wish to be,
In my dreams' reflection is always me.

Nevermind
I've got hungry hugs and hungry hands
My hugs pull you so tight that for a moment you feel some of the loneliness that's overflowing within me, and you have to pull away
I've got hands that wander 'cause they don't know where they belong
Don't mind my fingers, they've got minds of their very own
They're looking for other fingers to nestle in between
They're looking for hands to call home
If there's a chance I can change a situation
Honor bound I am to try;
But if it's already in the past
I have to let it lie.
