I shall scream Chopin
I shall bleed Monet
I shall whisper Rumi

They have poured their souls into my eyes and ears
Thus I will pour it back for them

Into this life and into this world
Till beauty rises like tidal waves over the heads of the lost

And we as one, will live it together

One soul, ceaselessly pushing love against the dark.

Stopped
By
Pain in the back
Stilled
By
Mucus and head aches
Silenced
By
Laryngitis and miscellaneous fears

Stopped. Stilled. Silenced.

Filtered sun through mid-day blinds
Distilled thoughts of shallow mind
Yield
Little light or clarity

Sheets damp with familiar musk
Covers twisted into a personal husk
Descent
Into loathing and disdain

Stopped. Stilled. Revealed.

In sickness and in health
The union within of lies to self
Broken
Stolen
Dying…yielding
Sometimes, my body refuses to continue the charade of ok-ness...of self sufficiency... and so slaps me flat to remember my self.

The Noose
Dispassionate heart
Summoning the chill
A skeleton of your former self
Domiciled within
These impediments

Panic prone
Arguing with fate

Weary of your blue
For how long will you
Linger in the shadows
incomplete.... just a rough draft really. Just felt the sudden urge to "put something out there"

Update: A poem is never really complete there's always that "not quite" however, I have decided (thanks to fellow poets who commented) this one is complete as it is.

Lust
One of those words that turns you
Grabs likes and causes comments
Lustful
Lingering upon lust
Requires courage for we can be trapped
Inside her endless taunting and tasting
Saltiness of you while waves crashing
Cause us to linger...lost
In the luscious luxury of you
Lust...
Shhhhhh...
We dare not speak your other names
***
Passion
Pleasure
Self satisfaction
Sultry sensuous
Luxurious lust...
So, did you linger here long enough?..
