He beats my daylight
Oh, carelessly
The cross my dearest carries
He carries to me
And
I love him
Empty are my dark skies
Outside the light inside his eyes
I know now
This flame of mine has to die
And
I love him

Not the stillness
but the never-ending motion
not on the head of a pin
but in base of the broad basin
not a perfect evenness
but the wealth of variance

Not two opposing pebbles
laid on a lever atop a pivot
not a balance
more
like a train car
arriving at the station
where people board and disembark
while their total never changes

Similarly
not good opposing evil
not black and white
or self against the other
more
the summation of the ins and outs
of all that simultaneously occur
when nothing ever happens

I’ve left footprints
in deserts
where no man’s been
in millennia; a thirst
not yet quenched
these dry cracked lips
can still spit out a poem
on old buzzards’
bones, trekking alone
whistling Dixie, my brother
I’ve a few miles yet to go.
Yo. :)
I hear ya, brother. Laugh with me.

By bliss imbued
The self renewed
In energy accepted
The primal force
Of life endorsed
Where freedom's resurrected

In shedding doubt
To live without
The need for expectation
By peace of mind
No longer blind
The soul can find

Remember me in the summer breeze when the wind blows calm and low.
When the summer fields bloom with colour wheels and the sweet Magnolia's show.
Remember me in the autumn leaves when Noon's an orange glow.
When the trees are full and the moon is bright and squirrels dance in the forests bows.
Remember me in the winter freeze when the snow falls slow and kind.
When the children pray and sleigh bells play to bring on  Christmas time .
Remember me in the spring  filled trees when daffodils meet the eye.
When rabbits jump and lambs wobble on bent knees and crooked thighs .
But remember me when we finally meet and the ocean drifts on by
when the curtains close the world unfolds and all that's left is you and I
Another very old poem I wrote when I was about 15.
Your portion for my whole
a fair trade for sure
a portion of your time and affection
for my whole dedication.
a fair trade for sure.
I love the orange glow,
That falls before the night.
The warm and golden hue,
That blows out all the light.

So you and I can lay,
And feel each other close.

Each breath you exhale,
A whisper on my lips.
Each sigh that escapes,
Your grip tightens on my hips.

Covered in the silk of night.
And hidden out of sight.
