I climbed to the top of a snowdrift mountain
with me I carried all things sacred
I looked down on a world all around me
and felt a wind blowing ever so free

I let all things that came to be
inside my heart that made me live again
touched by Spirits of ones that come to me
their visions of hope I could see

and Mother Earth gives me all I need
on this journey of a road turned red

caught up in my midnight blues
hid behind my black and white hues

when my ship would no longer float

Some people will say all that they will

they got the purpose to do a deed
until it comes another's time of need
who faces troubles backed against a wall

They say words only to speak
to make themselves seem their good

even though they know that they could

so they won't feel guilty not to give
to bring hope for another to live

They try to make others think they're real
but their souls are only cold and empty
thinking only what is in it for them
forgetting what God spoke through Him

They talk about what all they would do
but never help or follow through
instead of just being honest and true
they want the world to believe their lie

They make excuses to reasons why
then want their blessings from the sky
knowing other's at times become weak
and needs someone to just understand
that they're not alone,together we'll stand

There was a time life was so simple

as I saw through her shining soul
with her love in me she never let go

I felt an Angel upon Heavens wings
and reached for her from deep within
as I touched her undying heart

I heard an Angel while she sings
as I listened to all the things
of her love and blessings that I let in

And when I needed her there most
through the nights empty cries
she appeared to me like a ghost

We all see the world in black and white
everybody's wrong and everybody's right
Peace is only won if we choose to fight
Angels fly but the Devil takes flight
with God on our side who will make it all right

We all see the politics who lie
who hide behind their walls to wage war
to feed the rich and bury the poor
living on the promise of a forked tongue
now with tomorrow already gone
who will say it was all for our young

We all see but nothing is in sight
we look for the truth but there's no more light
morning comes but we burned out the sun
wasted away blood fills the sky
as one by thousands we will surely die

We all see we're running out of places to go
it's the signs of an end to a time
we all hear the final trumpets blow
but the Church bells will no longer chime
where Heaven and Hell collide and there is no more
