100,000 Thank You's"*

One hundred thousand visits
Of my poems you have viewed
So today I take a moment
To give my thanks to you

I never knew the joy I'd find
In sharing my short rhymes
The peace I'd feel inside my heart
With each poem that I write

Sometimes I've made my readers cry
And at times I've made them laugh
I hope there's been some lessons learn
And you feel I've given back

Please know I read your poems
And each comment that you write
For me it is a special gift
When other poets say they like

One hundred thousand visits
Of my poems you have viewed
So today a take a moment
To give my thanks to you*

Carl Joseph Roberts

Thank you all so very much for reading my many poems over these past 18 months.  Reaching 100,000 views was a goal of mine as a poet. I have been requested to place my work in book form and now that my first goal of 100,000 has been reached I think I am going to reach for my second goal and publish my work. It will be nice to have something to pass on to my son and hopefully grandchildren one day.
Fast Forward

Fast forward because life moves on
We turn the page and our chapters born
The winds of change have finally come
Like a cleansing rain or the morning sun

Fast forward because life moves on
We share our hearts and love once more
Old memories fade and new love lasts
We look forward and never back

Fast forward because life moves on
The heart now healed and scars are gone
The future in focus we see the light
A path now taken to a bright new life

Fast forward because life,
Well because life moves on
Fast forward

I am a snowflake whirling fast towards the ground
my final resting place.
As I fall people notice me
but seldom see my individuality.
Being like no other
I stand out
yet, not enough to be admired for long.
I still look at your picture
You look "adorable"
The word you used to say
I act like I'm writing this to you
Like you may read this one day
Yes, it's for you
I see your eyes
And the softness that lies behind
Ready for tender affection
To absorb into me
On the couch, your small self
My little spoon
Arms around you
I will fall asleep
So easily
Knowing you're here with me
And will be in the morning

Where did you go?

into a world cold and lonely I set sail my only son
I tried in the seventeen years to teach him right from wrong
so, one day I turned him into the sun and set his sights on living
It has been two years I have heard from him.
I think about him and me
and how I may have been wrong,
or how I may have done better
yet I think again
on how I may have made him strong
strong enough to not need me,
In that I am
proud
and
weak kneed.

betterdays
lost,
adrift,
led astray,
just disappeared,
nowhere to be found,
slipped, down, between
                                the cracks.
irretrievably, wayward.
gone... the way of flying pigs.
that qoundam, thought has
                     now...gone awry.
just .....slipped the noose
and fled into the deepest, darkest reccess's of my mind.
again... a nonet...
