Completely Trusted You.
Shared all that I Knew.

Opened my body and Soul
Made me complete and whole.

Was I so ignorant and a fool
Was not aware that I was being used.

My dear miss Able asked me about a hidden place.

A place where words go to find lovers.
A Tinder for f̶o̶r̶e̶p̶l̶a̶y̶  wordplay.

Where "She" swipes right on "Him" to create "Them".

Where "Un" and "Faithful" got together and made "Faithfulun"
Because "Faithful" is also seeing "Dyslexia"

Where my friend "Alone" swept left on "Everybody"
And never changed.

And "In" became "Indecent" when he, infatuated,
Increasingly indulged
Into "Inappropriation" while dating "decent" and then Indiscreetly descended into "Insanity".

Where "Baby" got "Back" after "Laid-Back" split when "Laid"
got "Off".

Miss Able doubted this place even after her first son,
"Question" who took her surname.

But this place does exist-

Where gold is mind inside a poet.
I thought I had everything
That way wrong
I thought I had friends
they just use you
I thought I had money
nope money is evil
I thought I had respect
only comes limited
I thought I had happiness
nope that was really a wake
calls

When you get to the end of
Your rope, happiness is not given
to you. You have to fine yourself
To able to say it's happy ending
That's where the happiness
Begin

It's unbearable, indeed, to be a human.
All these uncertainties, not knowing what to do or what will happen next.
I am trying to walk outside just to find a world that's still beautiful.
I'll try to avoid the impulse to grieve what's still wild and alive.
For me to get by, I guess I'll have to continue being a rose-colored boy; your rose-colored boy.

Cream colored
Fuschia blushed
All dancing on the wind
Spice rack colored leaves
paid them no attention
as the wind went unnoticed in the big Apple

I was stuck in free verse
On the circuit
With slammers renowned
Ripping rhymes sublime
Heard and seen
By the deaf and blind,
Respectively...

But the spin soon spun
From slick to schtick
Layered so thick with more
Of the same ole tricks
That even Mike and Spike
Couldn't just do it
Like before...

So I upgraded my lyrical Nike
Of the open court
To a pair of couplets
And formally entered the draft
With the pros...

"With the #1 pick...."

My dedication to the craft
And hours logged after dark,
Flipping through Plath, Wilde
And Walker
Yielded the manuscript of my dreams,
And a YES
From the publisher

I had arrived...

Or so it seemed...

The path well-travelled
Of the published pros,
Once paved in exclusivity,
Now glittered  with chaos and opportunity

And the carcasses of couplets in print...

The sprint to models new
Laced in virtual strings
On tablets, kindles and bing
Had  begun....
