Truth is.....

Since I was a child
a certain image has appeared in my mind
a guilty pleasure
a favorite pastime

Something so bitter yet sweet
a game of trick and treat
a forbidden fruit
I've always wanted to eat

It has never escaped me,
an original sin
that I've masked with many men
in my rainbow colored heart,

........Is where this secret has always been
from the very start.

One day,
I will travel the world and see places.
Maybe the immense beauty and their deep secrets
will drown
and suffocate me.
And then maybe,
just maybe,
these feelings will die.
I'll forget about you.
One day.
Only the stars endome the lonely camp,
Only the desert leagues encompass it;
Waterless wastes, a wilderness of wit,
Embattled Cold, Imagination's Cramp.
Now were the Desolation fain to stamp
The congealed Spirit of man into the pit,
Save that, unquenchable because unlit,
The Love of God burns steady, like a Lamp.

It burns ! beyond the sands, beyond the stars.
It burns ! beyond the bands, beyond the bars.
And so the Expanse of Mystery, veil by veil,
Burns inward, plume on plume still folding over
The dissolved heart of the amazéd lover-
The angel wings upon the Holy Grail!
Under the stars we'd spend our nights, observing all of the heavenly lights.
Under the night's sky, in peace, and rest, a moment in time entirely ours. Your hand in mine, truly one of a kind, a night bright with a quiet affection in no need of words, a glow of the heart, lighting the dark.
Now under the black speckled sky, I don't know why, but a single tear leaves my eye, alone in the night, looking upon the heavenly light.
Time passed along, and so I'll carry on under the stars.
Something I just wrote with the input of a friend.
Fly to me and kiss my painted lips
And taste the dry red wine
Then stare into my hazel eyes
That in the moonlight shine

It seems far too long that you’ve been gone
And, my dear, I’ve needed you here
So sit and rest your weary feet
And sip gently at your beer

Tell me of your troubled days
That start from troubled nights
And I’ll listen to your problems
And I’ll try to kiss them right

I’ll pull you ever closer
As your hand trails down my spine
And whisper softly into your neck
That for tonight, again, you’re mine

And after the talk and drink are through
We’ll find ourselves in bed
Passionately tangled in each other
Showing words we’ve never said
