Let me take the pieces of you
and put them into one place
for you to ponder.
I cannot put them together for you.
As you know,
only you can do that.
But I can show you
that you haven’t lost as much love
as you perhaps believe,
and that the pieces
I would give to you,
if you would have them,
would eclipse
the dark moons of the past
and reveal to you
the bright suns
of a future.
Wrote most of it yesterday, finished today.

We're inadequate
and imperfect souls seeking
Love in a flawed world
Remember, we are all not perfect in this beautiful and flawed world.

Your imperfections require another missing piece of imperfections. Which could only be found in another soul, and that's when you meet your "soulmate". And bam, you two will be a perfect pair.

The waves crash and
the ship rides on
into the dock
between the velveteen piers
as the wind sighs and moans
and the old wood creaks.
The sun beads the moisture
in the air
of the swaying harbor
as the rough sand
tries desperately to grab
the hips of the shore
and the boats all move
to and fro
in endless motion
against the bay side.
Cravings of the flesh.

Valsa George
a storm rages outside
sky, overcast with clouds
fearful sounds echo through
the mountain crannies
like that of shrieking bats in flight
trees shiver under wind’s might

everything around
presages an impending doom
the least pressure would suffice
to let all the hellfire loose

sitting in my dim lit room
with all the windows shut
unable to drown the emptiness
afloat in irrepressible buoyancy
I glance over the balance sheet
of my life

all sweet memories gone
shaking their mane
like horses galloping away

bitter memories
only bitter memories remain!
