sometimes i write because i feel empty
i feel like i can fill the void
with words and emotions that should be there but
aren't
it takes me
a couple dry poems
to realise
emptiness is not something even poetry
can fix

Gritted teeth, anxious, smooth-toothed
Swirling pit, stomach twists and turns, old bath rag
Adrenaline, uncontrolled thoughts keeps me grounded, cigarette
Empty eyes, laughter, a smile
