Some days are just black and white
Greyscale, monochrome
Just plain
Vanilla ice cream

Other days are vibrant and astounding
Kaleidoscopes viewed through kaleidoscopes
Completely original and new
Mint chocolate chip

And for me it seems
There's no in-between

Misty sunrise beautiful
Pale gold and icy blue
Steeped in iridescence
Each color alive within the other
Today I saw love
And it felt like you

for a second there
everything was a tiny thing
easy to understand
but only for a moment
I think
honestly the memory
is rather hazy
probably a delusion.

bees
flapping
their wings
in the breeze
filling their bellies
with
sweet nectar
zipping
zigging
zagging
and
buzzing
through
the air
returning
to their
honeycomb den

Someone once asked me              
if I could think of a joke;
