How can I get out of this mess
This mess called myself
Breathing but not living
Content yet unsatisfied

The heart beats but it doesn't feel
Filled up but empty
Calling yet rejecting
It forgives but resents

The mind speaks but it never talks
Accepting yet rebelling
Praising yet cursing
It understands but refuses to

A liar
A contradiction
A paradox
That's what I am

They go on and on.

An example of life?
Perhaps.

In life, you can only count on yourself.
And when you take out all the
little factors
of your life,
you are the only
1
left.

Count on yourself. Believe in yourself.

*Note: I've been thinking about prime numbers a lot recently, and so I decided to make something out of it. I know it's not really a poem, but here it is anyways.
I hope you enjoy.
Against my skin
Wind cascades
Whispering adventure
As leaves tremble

A fire crackles
Soothing light
Cast into the night
Caressing what surrounds

Chill air lays
With a scent of leaves
Mixing with tea
For a relaxing air

A warm drink
Wonderfully suited for chilly nights
Contrasts the October breeze
The perfect duo
The little children are keen and astute
They are a lot smarter than what we give them credit for
Always watchful and aware
There is so much more in store
Most willing to open their minds
For there is more knowledge to gain
Nothing but pure edification there
More power to sharpen their brain

all i want from this world
is to love the people in it
and to be loved sometimes
it doesn't have to be beautiful people
or a pure love
i'll take the messy, ugly kind
one that will match mine
