Mrs Ashley Somebody
I used to daydream
That you had a TARDIS, and
You could really come.

Sometimes you sense them
In the dark places of night
But now face to face.

If you're reading this, or stumbled upon this by chance,
then you've done a good deed, allow me to explain, this fortunate happenstance!
You see my dear reader, you've done quite extraordinarily well,
because for each stroke of key, each dash of a pencil,
you've created something unique, and different, and altogether wonderful!
You've bravely and boldly put out one foot, and followed close with the other,
you, dear reader, are a name among many, child, brother, sister, father, or mother.
You've done it, yes I must say you have indeed,
you've broken the barrier, for with words, here you exceed!
Exceed beyond expectations, beyond the crushing blow,
the world tried to stamp you out, but it didn't work, I'm sure you know.
Because here you are! Still standing, sitting, living right there!
And you still have a set of lungs to breath, that sweet, smoggy, air!
Ah yes, all jest aside,
no, no, my friend stay but a little while longer! No need to run or hide!

Ah yes my friend what a splendid job you've done,
doing what many others, would not dare to have begun!
You're life of longing, all your wishes and fears alike,
you've written them all out, now you speak them through the mike.
Here you are, in your own little world, secluded, or so it seems,
here where you sit and read, the others hopes and dreams.
So sit on again,
come back to me my friend,
and we'll find out just what you've done, and what needs doing,
and don't bother about the work, there's no other place that's going.

You've exposed yourself, naked on this page,
you've said it all, the hate, hurt, the happiness, and the rage.
You've cried tears of joy, and let the river of pain flow on,
You've even stayed awake for this, well past the crack of dawn.
You've helped others see, what they could not see in themselves at all,
what bravado, what commitment, what gallantry, what gall!
So here you are, reading this silly little poem,
and you have a choice to make, to stay isolated and alone, or give a chance to know'em!

So I suppose you've done a heroic thing, by stepping outside the box,
your words, they flow and they dance, they trot just as the fox.
I will not ask for what does the fox speaketh to you,
I'm just saying, you've done well my friend, I sincerely mean it, I do.

Now off with you then. Time to fire up your kindled fire,
let the world know, of what you really, truly, desire!
You've got a world to conquer, not by sticks nor by stone,
but by the blood of your body, and the spirit in your bone!
So go on, tally **! Charge on unto the breach,
the little man lacks the voice, so its time for you to teach!
God bless you, your face which I may never meet,
God bless the things you do, and may you always stand upon two feet!
Whoop! Go get'em folks!

So the sky is the limit--
I don’t care;
I’ll build me a rocket
To get up there.

Don’t tell me the odds,
I know there’s no air;
I’ll find my own oxygen,
I’ll take every dare.

Don’t get onto me,
Come on, be fair;
But if you need a lift,
I’ll take you there.

Cat
One he was the tiger
The other, the tigger
And the other, he was
The housecat with awkward fuzz.

Somehow he had more
Than nine lives, or
This kitty was a fright
That gave Life such delight.

Hue
What if the sky was golden brown
And the grass was russet red?
What if the curling, twining boughs
Of trees were blue instead?

What if my hair was purply grey
And my eyes were orangy pink?
The world would simply carry on
With inverted colors, I think.

"Broaden your horizons,"
Said the teacher to the student.
He said, "Fine, I'll do that,
I'll move to another planet."

I am old, so much older now
And you think you can hurt me?
I am wise, so much wiser now
And I used to have so much mercy.

So now they're adding hashtags
To everything under the sun
Don't they know that in the end
These too will be over and done?
seriously

Box
Am I cliche? Or am I someone
Trying to fit in a box?
'Cause the last time I checked, I drew outside the lines
Because being an anomaly rocks.
The dictionary misspells that word. It should be 'anomale'. It's too phonetic, and not phonetic enough at the same time.

They haven't had an Asian
In my favourite TV show
If the next companion's ginge, then
I'll **** Vincent van Gogh.

A new chapter is scary
Like a whole entire new book
My mind's still stuck in the last one
And I don't know how I look.

Van Gogh was outcast
I don't care if I'm unknown
I still love myself.
