Give me a break
Get off my back
I’m in a deep hole
And that is that

We all have those days
Of just being in a funk
There’s really nothing wrong

Just a lot in my mind
I’m to ******* myself
Just give me some time
I’ll be alright...
Anyone else feel this way sometimes? Ugh!

THAT'S WHY WE LIVE .

As long as you live, smile to life.
It is enough that you can breathe.
The breath will give you what's enough
To think about what makes you blithe.

Why don't you think about good health
That God gives you to life compose;
Why don't you chant and make your mouth
Just acknowledge what He bestows.

Think of the beauty in the streets,
The girls that dance in their light steps,
The little children whose laugh greets
The ears to give life new concepts.

Think of the mothers and their kids,
The fathers who find joy in work.
Think of the second life God builds
To grant you joy of highest rank.

Each of us has a backbone,
That sustains us
and straightens our path.
My backbone is my Faith,
The path I follow is narrow
With certain scoliotic bends
But with all my heart I follow,
And eternity is where my road ends.
And who/what is your backbone?

As the winds grow stronger and the snow falls heavy,
as the oceans rise and pour over the levee,
as the sweltering heat makes us sleep in the day
and work in the night, I’ll take your hand and say:
Dance with me in the darkness, until the futile dawn;
sing while I play guitar, we don’t have long.
Read your poems to me while we have a little time;
we have no future, but we still have rhyme.
Let’s drink a toast, or two, to what might have been,
and what once was, before our time turned grim
Let’s plunder the pharmacy, or eat the magic mushroom;
don’t go into the night easy, but don’t rage at the moon.
Let’s savor all the moments, as our destiny arrives.
Let’s not waste another minute of our precious time alive.

You said "I don't know if you think you're just a burden to me or what"

The answer there is yes, that's exactly what I fear
I've been made to feel a burden since the day I was born
But at times I feel like I'm worth so much more
That I'm not just a burden
But maybe someone to be loved, maybe even cherished
But then I think, maybe I'm really nothing at all

Maybe the universe saw I wasn't fit
Maybe in life, I deserved all of it
You have a hard time showing any feelings
In that void you leave me in, sometimes it sends my thoughts reeling
Everything gets tumbled, my words become jumbled
My actions become erratic, so not humble
It's because I fear the worst, that's exactly what I am

A Burden

I don’t blame you

I don’t blame you for being insecure
I don’t blame you for falling in love with someone incapable of loving you in return
I don’t even blame you for projecting your problems onto me
I understand that sometimes it’s easier to blame
our mistakes
our problems
on the people closest to us
I don’t blame you

I don’t blame you for our friendship falling apart
I don’t blame you for blocking me on every social media imaginable
I don’t even blame you for not speaking to me
I understand that we just weren’t
good
suitable
for each other anymore
I don’t blame you

But I do blame you

I blame you for insulting me behind my back
I blame you for not being there when I needed you
I blame you for thinking you were the only protagonist in this story
and I was just a side character

I wish you knew how much I miss you
I wish you knew that for some
sick
twisted
insane
reason I don’t hate you
I wish you knew that I would still give you the shirt off my back
if shivers racked your body
Travel across the country
if you need something as simple as a hug
Cut my own heart out
if yours was broken

But I blame you

I blame you
Because I understand
and I wish this wasn’t the case
That you wouldn’t do the same

So,
I blame you

I've been watching you
out my window working
in the earth

I'm proud of you

I've been watching you
out my window working
in the earth

I'm glad for all you do

Out my window

I've been watching you

working in the earth
Title is because this was a forgotten one...that was unearthed.
