Scent of roses and flower stems
The baby's breath so fair
Accent the aisles of the church
In which we will take our vows
Bride in gown so fair
A prettier bride was never seen
A maid with golden hair
We stand before them all
Partner with partner, eyes to eyes
Hands clasped together
So often as before
They slip a golden ring
Upon my slender finger
And thou art already wearing thine
One final kiss before we are one
And depart a happy married couple
Rose petals thrown into the air
Paper confetti too
My dancing eyes meet yours
We smile as though nothing
Will ever harm us
Just a few months later
And we are gathered again
To celebrate the birth of
My darling girl--my daughter
Whoever knew that years later
She would turn out a poetess?

~

Crimson clover round the bend
Parted of a sorrowed tool
Planting phrase on what is said
Who now stands the empty fool

In this garden, sheer delight
Wilted from the summer heat
Fenced in by a stone of white
Destined to be incomplete

Oh the beauty it hath lost
When your eyes did cast away
Counting change amidst the cost
Of this bloom now gone astray

On this bench of marble form
Headless statues bid adieu
I shall sit her in the storm
Clinging to the thought of you

For this rain shall find my weep
Fills the puddles of despair
Deep within their hollows keep
Nothing less that I’m aware

Loneliness, this garden seed
Found of hedges twist and turn
Taken from the soiled need
Am I ever soon to learn

Here behind an iron gate
Draped in vines so long now dead
Brittle touches prove too late
Of the love my heart has bled

As the sun does set the field
Now as darkness comes to play
Time I find my fate is sealed
Lonely gardens I will stay

life is lived in the midst of colours --
a meadow full of yes all you could think of -
Flowers wild in the grass of the meadow-
this is my wildest dream of dreaming living
much more real than Alice and her wonderland-
could ever go as deep as the author of all life -
could ever imagine and yes this is my madness

Wild flowers I picked,
Were soon lost, when she arrived—
Wind took them away.

The closer I draw to you Lord
The more I see of myself
The sinful man
I know that I am
Needing you more than life itself

Until I no longer can stand
Falling into your mercy and grace
For it's all that I see
Being all that I need
You above everything else

Not dwelling on countless misfortunes
Rejoicing when trials begin
Knowing inside of the fire
I will be refined
To where I should always have been

Held tightly to your *****
Tucked safely under your wing
Where given the chance
I drop all pretense
And you then are all that I see

Last night, I had a dream
Of a voice calling out to me
Signalling me through the darkness
Empty whispers I couldn't figure out
And then a ******-throat scream.
I was walking with my eyes closed
And yet, I was wide awake
Into the woods somewhere unknown
So confident I was, I was so sure
Making my way into the stray.
Behind the back of my mind,
Something felt ignited
A desperate call from space
Sore eyes and a rusty soul
Like begging me to come home.
The coldness seeped into my veins
The wind whistled into my ears
The tales of what I really am
Decoding the silence of the night
Peacefully murdering the scam.
The sound of the water ripples
The full moon and the sleeping dawn
The wolves howled flawlessly
To stir the stillness of my song.
A distant voice called out to me
The resonance injected into my bones
Like a faint cry for help,
A craving for deep connection
Strange, how I felt the whole time
Like that voice was mine.
Flip the pillow, the cold brings comfort
The air sticks to the wall, you turn away
Shattered night sky, restless thunder
A bow shaped cloud ignites, luminous
blue fissures weld a crossbow of bolts.

Flash, the night sky glows, white hot
subconscious blink, the room lights up.

Fall back exhausted as storm breezes cleanse.
Rainwater Winds and pockets of pressure,
Under the blanket, the mercury measures
Eighty degrees, your skin starts to sizzle,
Rain pounds the glass, gusts cool the air.

Rest those tired eyes, shut yourself in
Storms will retreat, serenity will win.

Red
Blossoms of sweet cherry hue
I picked them all for you
My heart of love is beating still
All for you it ever will

Evening gathering all singing of their day at sea
sharing stories of plenty or fast
the abundance of fish or lack thereof

Seagulls at their roosting resting place on the shore
no cliffs close by
the beach good enough

Faith written into the DNA
brothers and sisters simpler lives
Trees Flowers Birds Animals

Direct permanent access to God
their faith never waivers
The children of God

William Shakespeare
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate.
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date.
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimmed;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature’s changing course untrimmed.
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st;
Nor shall death brag thou wand’rest in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st,
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.

Don't worry about
Tomorrow
Until tomorrow
Comes,
Because no one is
Guaranteed
To live that long.

Don't dwell or live
In the past.
You cannot change
What has been said
Or what has happened.

Like most things in life;
Time is out of our control.
And when it comes down to it
At the end of every day,
The only thing that matters
Is whether we accept and learn from our decisions.
Or continue to drown in all the ideas for
"What could have been."
